Fevicol Science Project Challenge 2013
Terms and Conditions :
The “Fevicol Science Project Challenge” is open to all students from the 5th to the 10th standard from any school located in India.
1 The contest commences on August 16th, 2013.
2 To participate, students should form teams of 3 members and submit one 3D project explaining and / or demonstrating one of the concepts mentioned in the brochure.
3 The winners at the school level will be notified by an email sent to the school.
4 All registrations have to come from schools only. Individual entries will not be entertained.
5 The official Fevicol Science Project confirmation form of participation provided has to be filled completely along with the Principal’s or Head Master’s / Mistress’ signature and stamp to be a valid entry for the event.
6 The school should nominate one teacher to accompany the winning team for the finals.
7 Pidilite has the right to disqualify at its discretion, and instruct the judges to disqualify any entry that in its sole discretion describes dangerous conduct, stunts or tricks, conduct that could lead to physical injury, property damage or otherwise.
8 Pidilite reserves the right to accept or reject any entry to the contest without assigning any reason.
9 Vulgarity, indiscipline or malpractice of any sort shall lead to disqualification.
10 While adequate safety measures will be taken, especially with respect to the entries received, Pidilite is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any property caused due to any untoward incident.
11 No further discussion or letters shall be entertained. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
12 All disputes related to the contest shall be the subject to the jurisdiction of the Mumbai High Court.
13 Pidilite reserves the right in its sole discretion to change, amend or supplement these terms and conditions without assigning any reason and at any time, without any notice.
14 The interpretation and implementation of the rules shall be at the sole discretion of the Company. The decisions of the Company shall be final and binding, and not subject to challenge or appeal.
15 All entries shall be the exclusive property of Pidilite.
16 Pidilite reserves the right to display the names and/or photographs of the entries received and the students who made them. All intellectual property rights in the entries shall vest in Pidilite at all times.
17 The schools and the participants agree that they are participating at its/their own volition and it/they have no claim whatsoever against Pidilite.
18 Prizes are not transferable, all prizes must be taken as is and cannot be exchanged for cash.
19 Winners are liable to bear and pay applicable taxes.
20 The participant agrees that he/she shall hold harmless Pidilite and others from and against any damage, in any manner whatsoever in connection with the contest or otherwise.
21 By participating in the contest, it is deemed that the participating school and students have read, understood and agreed to abide by all the terms and conditions of the contest.

GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES :
The guidelines are for general knowledge and are not a substitute for professional advice or common sense. Be sure to thoroughly research your scientific concept prior to performing your project.
1 Understand the scientific concept thoroughly and check for any dangers involved in your demonstrations. Maintain safety standards. Do not directly view the sun, infrared, or ultraviolet sources.
2 You cannot use (i) human blood/body fluids, (ii) animals, (iii) live ammunition, firearms or explosives, (iv) poisonous plants or (v) radioactive material or any material which is otherwise dangerous or unsafe.
3 Use safety equipment wherever necessary for your presentation.
4 Comply with all local fire and safety rules and regulations. Use caution when heating all forms of matter and always have a fire extinguisher available.
5 Thoroughly check all motors to make sure all parts are sturdy and that safety nuts are securely fastened.
