The Chartered Facility Manager is a competency-based assessment and certification accorded by a distinguished panel of General Management, Facility Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, Energy Management, Sustainability, Finance, Human Resources, Technology and Quality Experts from the Industry.
You should meet the education and experience requirements expected to become a Chartered Facility Manager. Based on an application and acceptance from the Institute and based on a panel interview, assessment and on passing the Chartered FM exams, you will be awarded with a Chartered FM Designation valid for a period of 2 years and renewable thereafter based on your knowledge and work in enhancing the FM Industry.
Qualification : Masters – Facility Management Master’s Degree from a recognized University or PGcFM Program from IFMI
Experience with FM Qualification : 5 years
Experience without FM Qualification : 10 years
Qualification : Bachelors – Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce from recognised Universities in India or overseas
Experience with FM Qualification : 10 years
Experience without FM Qualification : 15 years
Qualification : Diploma – Diploma from recognised Universities in India / overseas or IFMI
Experience with FM Qualification : 10 years
Experience without FM Qualification : 15 years

IFMI will contact you within 5 working days on your eligibility. Chartered FM reviews are conducted fortnightly. Based on interviews scheduled by an expert panel, you will be called to discuss your application and a competency based assessment exam.
Chartered FM Certification :
On successful completion of the exam, you will receive an official notification and you can begin using the Chartered FM after your name. Your name will also appear in Print and on the IFMI website as Chartered Facility Manager. You will also receive a certificate, lapel pin and press release in your welcome packet.
