Detailed Information of All India Inter University Ball Badminton Men Championship -2013-14.

Venue of the Tournament:
The Tournament will be held at the Alagappa University College of Physical Education, Karaikudi which is located 5 km away from Karaikudi railway station, from Madurai 91km and 95km from Trichy.

Nearest Airport : Trichy Airport – 87km

Date of Tournament : 20th December 2013 to 24th December 2013

Reception :
Reception counters will start functioning from 5am on 18th December 2013 Karaikudi Railway station and the Alagappa University College of Physical Education College, please note that there is no reception counter at Bus stand.
Transport facility from the Railway station to the tournament venue will be made available by the volunteers at the reception counter on cash payment by the teams.

Officiating Charges :
The Manager of the team should pay ` 700/= per match as officiating charges and ` 150/= towards the match ball to the Organising Secretary before the commencement of their match.

Accommodations:
The teams will be provided with unfurnished rooms / Dormitory / classroom / Halls for their stay during the days of the tournament. Since the lodging facilities are limited, the teams are requested to arrive at the venue of the tournament a day before and must vacate the accommodations immediately after their last match.

Each team should deposit Rs, 1000/= as caution deposit, which will be refunded at the time of departure of the team after adjusting for the cost of the damages, if any Teams shall make their own arrangements for their Boarding.

Rules of the Competition:
The rules of the Ball badminton Federation of India (BBFI) and the guidelines of the AIU will be followed for the tournament. The Organizing Secretary reserves the rights to make changes in the program and the venue, if necessary. The decision of the committee shall be final and binding.

Eligibility:
Four copies of the Eligibility Performa duly signed by the Competent authority along with the identity Cards are to be handed over to the Organising Secretary in the Managers meeting. The teams should be ready thirty minutes before the commencement of their matches.

Manger’s Meeting:
Team Managers and Coaches meeting will be held on 19th December 2013 at 5.00pm at the A.U.C.P.E

Inaugural function:
The teams should participate in the Inaugural Ceremony with their University flag on 20th December 2013 at 9.30am at Umayal Stadium, A.U.C.P.E, Karaikudi

Precautions to be taken by the Team Managers:
i. The weather will be cold during the morning and evening. The teams are instructed to bring adequate warm clothing.
ii. It is advisable to bring bedding and blankets and Mosquito replants.
