Walk-in-Interviews will be held at National Research Centre for Orchids (ICAR), Pakyong-737106, Sikkim for the post of Research Associate under Mini Mission-I Project as indicated below. The appointment will be on contractual basis and the incumbents shall not have any claim for regular appointment is ICAR.
Name of the Project : Horticulture Mission for North East & Himalayan States (Mini Mission – I)
Name of the post : Research Associate
No. of post : (Two post) (PI-Cell –one post; MM-I, NRCO, Pakyong onepost).
Age limit :40 years for men 45 years for women
Duration : Initially for a period of one year or till the termination of the Project whichever is earlier
Emoluments :
Rs. 23,000/- per month + HRA for Master Degree Holders
Rs. 24,000/- per month + HRA for Doctoral Degree Holders
Essential Qualification : M.Sc (Agriculture) in Soil Science/Plant Pathology / Entomology / Microbiology /Plant Breeding/Agriculture Extension. OR M.Sc (Horticulture)/Floriculture
Desirable Qualification:
a. Ph. D in relevant subject
b. NET qualified.
c. Sound knowledge in computer application.
How to Apply :
i) The applicants must bring with them original documents along with one passport size photograph and brief note on research works carried out during post-graduation /graduation along with one set of photocopy of certificates at the time of ‘Walk –in- Interview’ .
ii) The above mentioned position is purely on contractual basis and is co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of project.
iii) The selected candidate is liable to be posted at NRCO Pakyong.
iv) The decision of the Director, National Research Centre for Orchids (ICAR), Pakyong, Sikkim would be final and binding in all aspects.
