The Poster :
As you may know, on the World International Day for Biodiversity, the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India launched a special educational poster on this year’s theme, ‘Water and Biodiversity’. The Centre for Environment Education has developed an interactive poster, “Water is Life” on behalf of the Ministry.

An Interactive Resource :
The poster on two colours would come alive when the student to fill-in colours and give a title in their own language. It also invites the viewers to identify and name the local natural features and to establish a familiar context.

The poster could serve as a useful educational resource for the educators to help their students start a discussion on the importance of water for all life forms and the precious nature of water!

Ministry of Environment has announced a poster competition for the schools with over fifty attractive prizes to be won by the school students.

Theme:
Help the”Water Is Life” poster come alive by writing a nice slogan in one of the sixteen languages on the back of the poster and colour the poster in such a way that life-forms presented come alive in their real-life colours and catches the eyes of viewers.

The posters would be evaluated based on :
Attractiveness and neatness of the colouring done.
For the slogan the evaluation would be on the clarity and choice of words; relevance to the theme of the poster;originality and creativity

Prizes :
** There is one prize for writing an attractive slogan for each of the 16 scheduled languages.
** Also, there is one prize fox colouring for each of the 35 States and Union Territories of India.

Competition Guidelines :
1. Your school must be a registered school in India
2. Your slogan must match the meaning of the theme of “Water is Life”.you can choose to design the slogan in any design medium that you choose; typography, illustration, etc. 3. Your slogan can be created using any of your computer’s design programs, but must be submitted as a high-resolution PDF.
4. Your scanned image(.jpg) or the photograph of the poster should be in 300dpi and CMYK/RGB format.
5. You have the rights to use any colouring medium — pencils, crayons, water-colour, etc.
6. The teachers should share the scan/ digital photograph of the coloured posters with paryavaranmitra AT ceeindia.org on or before 12 :00 Noon, Friday, 31 January 2014. 7. The posters will be uploaded on the facebook page of Paryavaran mitra
8. Submitting your completed poster means you are automatically participating in the competition, and successful submissions will be voted for on Facebook and also assessed by our independent judging panel.
9. Voting on Facebook is via the “like” button and is limited to 1 vote per person, per design.You can vote for yourself, as well, because every vote counts!
10.The winner will be the poster that receives the most votes from the Facebook People’s Choice vote and from our judging panel.

    1. I do not think so you will be able to view the uploaded posters on the website. I could not find any option to view the same. However you can also search.
