How to apply for India-Bangladesh Passport?
Step-1:
The applicant may collect the India-Bangladesh Passport Form (Passport Special Form No. 1) and Challan Form from website or from the Indian-Bangladesh Passport Counter, G.A. (Political) Department, Secretariat, Agartala in case the applicant is from the West Tripura District. The applicants from North Tripura / South Tripura / Dhalai District may collect the India-Bangladesh Passport Form and Challan Form from the office of the respective District Magistrate & Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

Step-2:
The applicant must be 15 years of age or above.

Step-3:
 To apply for India-Bangladesh Passport, the applicant must have Citizenship Registration Certificate or Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate.

Step-4:
The applicant has to submit Rs. 500/- through Bank Challan. The Bank Challan must be certified from the Department between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm of any working day.

Step-5:
The applicant must submit 3 (three) copies of recent Passport size (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm) photographs properly attested by a Gazetted Officer at the back side of the photographs. The seal of the Gazetted Officer must contain the name of the Gazetted Officer.

Step-6:
The applicant must submit the photocopy of the Citizenship Registration Certificate (CRC) / Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) properly attested by a Gazetted Officer. The seal of the Gazetted Officer must contain the name of the Gazetted Officer.

Step-7:
If the applicant is an employee of State Government / Central Government / Public Sector Undertaking, must submit the No Objection Certificate in original along with the application form.

Step-8:
The validity of the No Objection Certificate is maximum upto 2 (two) years from the date of issue, if no bar otherwise.

Step-9:
 If any child’s/ children’s name is to be included in the passport, the Birth Certificate(s) of the child / children is to be submitted along with the application form.

Step-10:
 If the applicant has old India-Bangladesh Passport, it must be submitted along with the application form.

Step-11:
The passport may be collected by the applicant personally in case of applicant residing under the jurisdiction of Agartala Municipal Council. Applicants above 60 years of age / Freedom Fighters / residing outside the Agartala Municipal Council may collect the passport through prescribed Authorization Form.

Step-12:
After completion of Police Verification and CRC / PRTC verification, applicant may check the status of the application personally in the Indian-Bangladesh Passport Counter, G.A. (Political) Department, Secretariat, Agartala on every Monday / Friday (on working days) between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm or in website.

Step-13:
Delivery of passport : From the Indian- Bangladesh Passport Counter, G.A. (Political) Department, Secretariat, Agartala between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm in any working days.

Where to Apply?
The applicant may submit the filled up India-Bangladesh Passport Form (Passport Special Form No. 1) along with the Bank Challan and other documents at the office of the District Magistrate & Collector and Sub-Divisional magistrate of their respective Districts or at the India-Bangladesh Passport Counter, G.A. (Political) Department, Secretariat, Agartala.

Fees Structure:
1 For New/ Fresh Passport : Rs. 500
2 For Miscellaneous correction : Rs. 100
3 For inclusion of a child’s name: Rs. 100
4 For Lost/Damage passport: Rs. 1000
