Voice and Vision India Trainings :
Voice and Vision India conducts different types of training programs to fulfill its objective of creating a pool of skilled professionals, paraprofessionals, caregivers and families of children with vision impairment and multiple disabilities, including deafblindness.
Master Teachers Training Level 1, 2, 3 :
Voice and Vision India conducts Master Teacher Training programs at 3 levels with the objective of developing regional experts to provide support to children with VIMD, their families and organisations in their respective region.
Level 1 :
On completion of six-weeks intensive training, teachers are TRAINERS.They train teachers in their own organisation as well as other NGOs and families.
Level 2 :
Trainers are provided training in developing leadership skills and their own personalities. After this two-week training, they implement their Action Plans for their region and organization. Trainers are now MASTER TEACHERS
Level 3 :
Master Teachers become MENTORS for their region and are agents of change.

Workshop on Orientation and Mobility for young children :
Perkins International, USA and Voice and Vision India, sponsored a five day workshop on ‘Orientation and Mobility for young children’ from 19th to 23rd July, 2010 at Blind’s Peoples Association, Ahemdabad. Experts Dr. Laurie Hudson and Ms. Paula Kosior, Perkins School for the Blind, USA conducted the sessions which included lectures, group discussions, activity planning and material development from local resources.
25 participants represented their Institutes from different parts of India, of which 5 participants were from Phillipines, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. The participants got an opportunity to share their experiences and learn new techniques from the live demonstrations by the experts to teach orientation and mobility skills to young children.
Technical Support :
Voice and Vision India offers technical support and need based training to organizations providing services or establishing new services for children with vision Impairment and multiple disabilities.
L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad :
A 6 day training programon Early Intervention for Children with Vision Impairment and Multiple Disabilities was conducted for the team of rehabilitation professionals at the Dr. Prasad Centre for Rehabilitation of Blind and Visually Impaired, L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The training included live demonstrations by the resource persons and the participants were involved in group discussions and activities for drawing up effective program plans.
Saint Francis Home for the Mentally Handicapped, Pathankot, Punjab :
Voice and Vision India conducted a training program for the teachers and staff of the Saint Francis Home for the Mentally Handicapped in understanding the needs of children with sensory multiple disabilities. Follow up trainings are also being conducted to develop the skills of the team to assess and develop effective teaching plans for the children receiving services atthe institute.
Voice and Vision India offers technical support to organizations through training of its staff and distribution of its resources such as training manuals, reference books, DVDs and other information.

In partnership with Government agencies :
Voice and Vision India works in partnership with government agencies, at national as well as state levels, to conduct training programs across all regions in India.
Partnership with The National Trust, a statutory body of the Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
Voice and Vision India has conducted 14 training programsin partnership with The National Trust on ‘ Early Intervention and School Readiness for Children with Sensory Multiple Disabilities’ and has trained 540 teachers, aanganwadi workers, SSA workers, CBR workers, therapists and parents.
These trainings were conducted in smaller towns across different states in India to be accessible to teachers and workers in these areas who otherwise have very little or no access to such trainings or professionals and also lack opportunities to upgrade their skills. The participants were from the 80 Aspiration centers under the National Trust as well as other government departments and NGOs.
Participant feedback indicates that the trainings successfully achieved the following:
Created awareness about the need for early identification and intervention for children with sensory multiple disabilities
Provided knowledge and information on effective teaching strategies to teachers and families
