Applications are invited from the eligible and excellent, Male sports persons in the given format for Selection of 05 sports persons for SEALDAH Division in PB-1 scale 5200-20200/-with Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- against sports quota open advertisement for the year 2013-14

Minimum Educational Qualification : Matriculation Or ITI pass

Sports Discipline :
(1) Football (Male) –Two (One Stopper and One Striker)
(2) Golf (Male)- One
(3) Cricket (Male)- Two(One Wicket Keeper & One Pace baller)

Minimum sports achievements : The minimum sports norms for recruitment of sportspersons in PB-1, Scale Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 1800/- is given below:

(4.I) Sports person( Footballer) : concerned should have represented the country in any of the category “C” championships / events, which are as under; Category “C” championships.
(a) Commonwealth Championship. ( Junior/ Senior category)
(b) Asian Championships/ Asia Cup ( Junior / Senior category )
(c) South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior category)
(d) USIC ( World Railways ) Championships (Senior category) Or
(ii) Should be obtained at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior category). Or
(iii) Should be obtained at least 3rd position in senior StateChampionships for all units & District of the state.

(II) GOLF: – Sports person should have I.G.U. ranking up to 100, subject to single handicap i.e. less than 10( in order of merit/Amateur Merit list) shall also be eligible for recruitment. Only the current Annual All India Ranking shall be considered for these purposes.

(III) CRICKET :- In Cricket at National Level , following sports achievements in 4 days/One day Limited overs /20overs Men/ Women Cricket championship (except vizzy Trophy)organized under the age of BCCI; may also be considered for recruitment against the posts having grade pay Rs. 1800/-in pay band Rs. 5,200-20,200

(i) Champion Ships : All India Inter State Elite & Plate Group Championship
Category : Senior/Youth ( U-22)Junior( U-19)
Minimum sports achievement for Recruitment in Grade Pay : Participation in Elite & Plate Group Championship
(ii) Champion Ships : All India Inter State champion Ships
Category : Senior/ Junior(U-19)
Minimum sports achievement for Recruitment in Grade Pay : Participation in any stage
(iii) Champion Ships : All India inter zonal Championship
Category : Senior/Junior (U-19)
Minimum sports achievement for Recruitment in Grade Pay : Participation

Mode of Recruitment:
i) The selection of candidate will be done by the competent recruitment committee and trial committee through TRIALS and INTERVIEW.
ii) The candidates declared fit in TRIALS shall only be considered for the interview stage by Recruitment Committee.

Medical Examination : The candidate will require to be declared medically fit by Rly. Medical Authority, prior to appointment after due selection.

Minimum Sports Norms for Recruitment of sportspersons in PB -1 of Rs.5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1800/- :
(i.) Period of reckoning sports achievements : The sports achievement shall be in the current and/or immediate previous two years and sports persons shall be an active player . The period of Sports achievements in recognized championships/events shall be counted from the date of notification.
(ii.) Represented the country in any of the category – C Championships/Events. OR
At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) OR
Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR At least 3rd Position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the State. In team sports only sportspersons who have actually played the sports in field shall only be eligible. In other words a sportsperson who represents as member of a team in any recognized sports event/championship but has actually not played in the field shall not be considered for recruitment.

Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2014
Educational Qualification : Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent

Examination Fee : Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of Rs 100/- DD/IPO should be drawn in favour of FA&CAO Eastern Railway /Kolkata payable at GPO. Demand draft should be of on any Nationalized/scheduled bank payable at Kolkata. IPO should be payable at G.P.O. Kolkata
