iCubed Photo Contest on Environment :
What?
‘Click for a Cause’ is an online photo contest organized by Bhumi for iCubed – a national level social ideation competition. The Photo Contest is a platform to bring together people with a passion for photography. We believe in the power of an image to tell stories that can’t be told any other way. Let your photographs speak a thousand words. The broad theme for the contest is ‘Environment’ which is also the theme for iCubed this year.
The sub-themes include :
** Global Warming including green initiatives & pollution control
** Preservation of other natural resources
** Protection to wildlife
** Treatment of waste including recycling (physical / e** waste)
** Others
Why?
** ‘Click for a Cause’ intends to create awareness on environment issues through photography. Notwithstanding that your photo will support the education of an underprivileged child.
** Apart from the jury selecting three winners, Bhumi will also be choosing one photograph that receives the maximum number of likes on its Facebook page.
** Your photos are to be classified under one of the above sub-themes.
Rules & Regulations:
** The event is open for all individuals across India with less than 35 years of age
** An individual can send any number of photos
** All photos are to be submitted through official website.
Regulations for your photograph :
** Photos can be taken through any model of Camera or through Mobiles
The photos should be named in the format : <i3CFC>_<Photo Title>
Images should be in Jpeg format only with a minimum resolution of atleast 5 megapixels
** Original size / resolution image for the selected photos to be submitted upon request
** The photographs should not have any borders, logos and watermarks
Photos submitted otherwise through the online form will not be accepted
EXIF details of the photographs must also be attached in case of DSLR photos
** The photographers should warrant to the organizers on the ingenuity in the ownership of the photo and thereby entitle the organizers with the right to future ownership of the same
** The photos will be judged based on the composition, relevance to the theme and creativity.
** The decision of the judges will be final & binding
** Violating any of the rules leads to disqualification
Prizes:
The top 3 winners will get,
** Total shared prize money of Rs. 10,000 to sponsor the education of underprivileged children!
** An internship at Makka Studios
** An International Student Identity Card
Important Dates :
Submit entries by 8 Dec 2013.
Results will be announced on or before 15 Dec 2013
