Applications are invited for filling up the following posts on direct recruitment and /or contract/deputation/reemployment basis in Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission. The desired qualification, experience and other terms and conditions are as noted below

1. Name of the post : Deputy Director (Accounts)
Pay band/Grade Pay :15600-39100, G.P-7600
No. of Post : 1 (One)
Essential Educational Qualification & Qualifying Service :
1. Post Graduate Degree in Commerce or Mathematics or equivalent from a recognized Institution or certified Chartered Accountant from a reputed Institution or Cost Accountant or CFA or MBA (Finance).
2. For appointment on deputation/contract basis officers holding analogous Post on regular basis; or with 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 15600- 39100, GP-6600 or equivalent; or with 5 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100, GP-5400 or equivalent;
3. For appointment on promotion 3 (three) years service in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100, GP-6600.
Desirable Qualification & Experience :
1. Professional experience in accounting in State Govt./Central Govt./ PSU/ Power Utility/ Statutory body/ reputed non Govt. Organization.
2. Knowledge of financial procedures in Govt. or commercial enterprise accounting and Audit.

2. Name of the post : Deputy Director (Engg.-Distr. Tariff)
Pay band/Grade Pay : 15600-39100, G.P-7600
No. of Post : 1 (One) (Un-reserve)
Essential Educational Qualification & Qualifying Service :
1. Graduate degree in Electrical/Power Engg. or equivalent from a Institution recognized by AICTE.
2. For appointment on deputation/contract basis officers holding analogous Post on regular basis; or with 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 15600- 39100, GP-6600 or equivalent; or with 5 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100, GP-5400 or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification & Experience :
1. Experience in the /Central Govt. / PSU/ Power Utility/ Statutory body/ reputed non Govt. Organization.
2. Knowledge of Electricity Act, 2003 and Rules & Regulations made there under.

3. Name of the post : Staff Consultant
Pay band/Grade Pay : 30,000/- (Fixed)
No. of Post : 1 (One) (Un-reserve)
Essential Educational Qualification & Qualifying Service :Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical) from any recognized University or Autonomous Institution recognized by AICTE. Candidate with post graduate qualification will be given preference and experience of five years will be essential.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : Working experience in power sector and exposure to commercial matter related to power sector including Aggregate Revenue Requirement (ARR) and tariff, renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation, demand side management, energy accounting and auditing, power procurement. Knowledge of Electricity Act, 2003 and rules and regulations framed there under

4. Name of the post : Stenographer
Pay band/Grade Pay : 5200-20200, G.P-2400
No. of Posts : 3 (Three)
Essential Educational Qualification & Qualifying Service :
1. Graduate Degree from a recognized University with proficiency in typing (40 wpm), shorthand (80wpm).
2. Knowledge of working in MS Office, Internet & email including computer operator.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : Relevant experience of working in State/ Central Govt./PSU/Statutory Body or reputed non Govt. Organization
