V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust invites applications in the prescribed format, from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of vacancy and for drawing a panel of candidates for the post of PILOT on DIRECT RECRUITMENT basis.

Pay Scale : Rs. 29100 – 54500 and Cafteria Allowance upto 47% of Basic Pay in addition to DA, etc.
Age Limit : 40 YEARS (As on 15.12.2013):
Essential Qualifications:
a) Must hold a certificate of competency as master of foreign going ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.
b) One year post qualification experience as Master / Chief Officer of a foreign going ship.
Mode Of Selection & Interview :
i) The decision of V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust about the mode of selection to the above post and eligibility conditions of the applicants for interview shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
ii) Date of Interview, venue, etc. will be intimated to only eligible & shortlisted candidates by Port Trust.
Application Fee :Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of Demand Draft valid for 3 months in favour of the Financial Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer, Tuticorin Port Trust payable at Tuticorin.
How to Apply :
i) Application format can be downloaded from the website.
ii) Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format published as Annexure to this advertisement. If needed this format can be photocopied, typed or printed on white paper of fullscape (size 21cm x 30 cm). All candidates must attach attested copies of their educational qualification certificates / mark sheets (Year wise of each year) and other certificates such as experience, OBC & SC Category certificates. A recent passport size photograph must be pasted in the space provided in the application format.
iii) Envelope containing the duly filled in application and Demand Draft (wherever applicable) must be superscribed in bold letters as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF PILOT.
iv) Duly filled in application, complete in all respect must reach by Postal Department Ordinary Post only, at the address given below;
