APPLICATIONS:
1. Prescribed applications with other details can be had from the Registrar, Bharathiar University in person or by post from 04.10.2013 on requisition. For obtaining the applications by post, the candidates are requested to send the self-addressed stamped envelope (Size 25cm x 12 cm) to the value of Rs.25 /-) Prescribed application form with other details can also be down loaded from the University Website : www.b-u.ac.in.

2. Filled in application together with Registration fee of Rs.500 /-(Rs.250 /- for SC/ST) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore should be sent on or before 21.10.2013

3. Candidates are requested to fill the application in all respects.

4. Five copies of application shall be submitted to the Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore 641 046.

AGE : Shall not exceed 55 years on the date of notification of advertisement.
SCALE OF PAY : Rs.37400-67000, AGP:Rs.10000/-

QUALIFICATIONS:
A) i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process.

iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System(PBAS), set out in this Regulation in Appendix III of UGC regulations.

B) An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

The Candidates who have downloaded the application from the University Website are requested to pay Rs.100/- in the form of Demand Draft / Chalan towards the uploading cost. All candidates should pay Registration fee of Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs.500/- for others in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Bharathiar Unviersity, Coimbatore-46 or Bank of India Chalan along with filled-in application.

Last date of receipt of the filled in application along with Registration fee of Rs.250/- or Rs.500/- (as the case may be) is 21.10.2013.
