The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Online Application Forms from eligible candidates for recruitment to Four Hundred & Four Posts of Medical Officers (General) in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Punjab.

VACANCIES : 404
PAY SCALE : Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400 Grade Pay.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :-
(i) M.B.B.S.
(ii) Registered with the Punjab Medical Council or with any other duly constituted Medical Council in India;
(iii) Knowledge of Punjabi Language upto Matriculation Standard or its equivalent. Candidate who do not possess this qualification shall have to acquire this qualification within six months of their joining the service failing which their services shall be terminated. (Relaxable for Sikh Migrants to the extent that they will have to acquire such qualification within two years after joining the service failing which their services shall liable to be terminated)

AGE :
(i) Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01-01-2015.
(ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45 years for all States/ Central Government employees.
(iii) The Upper age limit is relaxed upto 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab.
(iv) Ex-servicemen of Punjab Domicile shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of Union from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such a vacancy in the Service Rules concerned by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.
(v) Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 42 years for Widows, Divorcees and certain other Categories of Women.
(vi) Upper age limit is also relaxed upto 47 years for Physically Handicapped of Punjab.

GUIDELINES FOR APPLYING ONLINE FOR ANY POST :
These instructions are intended to guide the Candidates in filling up their Online Application Forms correctly so that they do not make mistakes, which may result in rejection of their candidature. The Candidates must read these instructions and the “General Information for the Candidates” thoroughly

It is recommended that the Candidates may take print out of these Instructions as well as “General Information for the Candidates” before filling the Online Application Form and retain the same for their reference. Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Online Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The Commission will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of incorrect filling up of Online Application Form.

Each Candidate shall fill only one Online Application Form. An attempt by any Candidate to fill more than one Online Application Form may result in rejection of all such applications.

Any person trying to upload pseudo application or illegal photographs or any other such material would be proceeded against as per law. IP address of the computer system accessing the Online Application Form shall be noted for security purposes.

Note:- Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply using Online Application Form much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid congestion on Web server on account of heavy load on internet/website.

STEP WISE FLOW OF PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE APPLICATION FORM :
STEP 1 Fill Online Application Form.

STEP 2 Deposit the Application Fee by downloading and printing the system generated Bank Challan Form
{ You cannot edit information in the Application Form after downloading the Bank Challan,}
The Candidate should go to any branch of State Bank of Patiala and deposit his/her Application fees as mentioned on the Challan Form only after a gap of one working day from the date of submitting the Online Application Form and Challan generation.

STEP 3 Print the submitted Application Form
Candidate can login and access his/her submitted Application form only after a gap of one working day From the date of depositing the application fee in any Branch of SBOP. (One day shall be utilized by Bank for fee reconciliation and updating of record.)

STEP 4 Submit the Hard Copy of the submitted Online Application Form along with self attested copies of the certificates and Bank Challan Form[ PPSC copy only]

5. Don’t press back button of internet browser to navigate through the links provided on the website.
6. You must logout of the Online Application after each session.

Last date for depositing the Application Fee by using the print out of system generated Fee Challan Form 17/04/2015 during Bank hours
Last Date for Submitting the Hard Copy of the Application Form along with self attested copies of the certificates and Challan Form 24/04/2015 by 17.00hrs
