Type: Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students-2013

Eligibility : (Detailed Scheme is available on the website)
(i) The applicant should be an Indian national and
(ii) The applicant should have passed Intermediate (XII) Exam’ 2013 conducted by JAC and secured a minimum of 80 percentile marks and
(iii) Pursuing regular course (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognized educational Institutions and
(iv) Students should not be availing any other scholarship scheme and
(v) Income of parents from all sources should not exceed Rs 6 (six) lakh per annum and
(vi) Should not belong to creamy layer as defined by DoP&T from time to time.

Value per month:
Rs.1000/- for graduation level (10 months per academic year)
Rs 2000/- for post graduate level (10 months per academic year)

Duration: 3 years for degree level and 2 years in the post graduation programme (To be renewed on year to year basis subject to eligibility) For renewal applicant has to apply on separate renewal form.

Signature: All the applications must be signed by the applicant. Unsigned applications will be rejected.

Attestation:
All the applications must be certified alongwith signature / stamp of the Principal / Dean of the Institute where the student has taken admission.

Bank Account Details:
Applicants should write their Bank Account number with detailed address of the Bank alongwith Bank Code, MICR Code and RTGS/NEFT code of the Bank. Applicant should open saving Bank Account in their name only. Scholarships will be sent by ECS mode directly to Bank Account of the selected candidates. In case the Bank details as mentioned above are not complete and in prescribed format the application will be rejected.

Documents to be sent with the Application:
1. Statement of particulars cum Joining report from Head of the Institution.
2. Self attested Photocopy of Marksheet and certificate of Intermediate exam’2013 and attested photocopy of Caste Certificate
3. An Income affidavit (In original) from the parent in prescribed format on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- duly sworn in before Notary Public/First class Executive Magistrate/Revenue Officer should be submitted alongwith the application. Applications without Affidavit as mentioned above will be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. (Proof of Income of Parents i.e Income Tax Returns of the parents should be attached alongwith the affidavit.)

Where to send Duly filled up Application Forms :
i. For applicants who have done XII from JAC in year 2013 and fulfils the prescribed conditions:-
The duly filled in application be sent in an envelope super scribing “Application for CSSS- 2013” should be sent to the “Secretary, Jharkhand Academic Council, Gyandeep Bhawan, Bargawan, Namkum, Ranchi- 834010”.

ii. For applicants who have done XII from Other Boards:-
Applicant who has done XII from Other Boards(like ICSE, CBSE, UP, Uttranchal, Karnataka, Haryana Board etc) are requested to submit their forms to his/her State Board only.

Change in Address And Bank Details :
Any change in address and Bank Details must be immediately reported to “Secretary, JAC” alongwith the Name and Roll No,. of the applicant and copy of the form submitted.

Following documents to be attached with the application :-
1. Photocopy of mark sheet and certificate of Intermediate exam’ 2013.
2. Photocopy of mark sheet and certificate of Matric exam of the candidate.
3. Photocopy of caste certificate (For reserved category).
4. Income affidavit in prescribed format in original.
5. Income tax returns/Form – 16 issued by employer (self attested).
6. One cancelled cheque of personal account of candidate (which is to be need for scholarship) bearing account number and NEFT/RTGS code. (In original)

How to apply for Scholarship :
A. Go through the guidelines before filling up application form for Central Sector scholarship Scheme.
B. Incomplete application in any respect will not be considered.
C. Filled up Application with all requisite attachments have to be submitted to the JAC on or before the last date i.e. 30.11.2013.
D. Joining report must be signed and stamped by the head of the Institution from where UG course is being pursued.
E. The Income affidavit should be either in Hindi or English on the prescribed format on a nonjudicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- duly sworn in before Notary Public/First class Executive Magistrate/Revenue Officer.
F. Following attachments have to be provided to JAC along with the application before 30.11.2013.
** Joining report in prescribed format Attested by Head of Institution (In original).
** Photocopy of Mark sheet and Certificate of Intermediate Exam- 2013 (Self attested)
** Photocopy of Mark sheet and Certificate of Matric Exam (Self attested)
** Photocopy of caste Certificate, if applicable. (Self attested)
** Income Affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- (In original).
** Income Tax Returns/Form-16 of both the Parents (of the year ending March’2013) issued by the employer should be attached along with the affidavit wherever applicable (Self attested).
** One cancelled cheque of personal account (which is to be used for scholarship) bearing Account number and NEFT/RTGS code. (In original).

Students are advised to keep a photocopy of application (with attachments) with them. Filled up Application and other documents should be sent to Secretary, Jharkhand Academic Council , Gyandeep Bhawan , Bargawan , Namkum , Ranchi- 834010 before 30.11.2013.
