Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions are applicable for the Fair & Lovely Foundation Everest Contest (“Contest”), being conducted by Hindustan Unilever Limited (“HUL”) through the Fair & Lovely Foundation, in association with Star Plus

To participate in the contest, the consumer needs to follow the following steps:
** The consumers needs to call 1800-220-130 & record “What is your Everest”
** Selected Participants will be contacted subsequently for certain other details, which would include a detailed form that would have to be completed by the Participant, and certain other information would have to be provided, as per the form
** The Selected Participants would then be interviewed by a panel of independent judges

Winners shall be selected from the Selected Participants as per the judgment of the Judges. A total of 2 Participants shall be the final winners

The winners of the contest shall get the opportunity of winning a scholarship from Fair & Lovely Foundation, which can help them pursue their dreams. It is to be kept in mind that the scholarship value and the manner of redemption shall be determined by Fair & Lovely Foundation, and shall be at their sole discretion.

Participation in the contest is open to women who, on the date of entry, are legal residents of India, are at least 18 (eighteen) years of age or older. Employees, officers, directors and the immediate family members of Star Plus, HUL and its parent, affiliates and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies, legal and financial advisors and all other companies associated with this Contest are not eligible to enter.

The entries should be made through the IVR only, and entries through any other means will not be permissible. However, it is specifically understood that the entry does not infringe any intellectual property rights of any third party.

HUL has the sole right to withdraw/ edit any aspect of the Contest at its discretion and/or alter the terms and conditions without prior notice and such withdrawal/editing and/or alteration of terms and conditions with/without prior notice shall be final and binding from the day of such amendment, as updated in this website.

Participation in the Contest is voluntary, and at the sole discretion of the Participants. It is specifically understood by the participant HUL may seek further information for the purpose of gratification of the winning participant. Such information shall be dealt with in confidence by HUL, and shall be handled by HUL as per the Unilever Privacy Policy, available at http://www.unileverprivacypolicy.com/en_gb/policy.aspx

Entries may only be submitted by individual Participants. Group entries will not be accepted (although different individuals might have taken part in the making of an entry, only one individual whose image has been uploaded for the purposes of this contest shall be the considered participant for the same.).

All entries must be submitted in the English language. Entries not submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in relation to this contest and the terms and conditions herewith, shall not be considered for the Contest and HUL shall bear no responsibility for any such entries.

Participants of the Contest grant unequivocal permission to HUL and its agents to store the photographs of the participants subject to the privacy policy of HUL. Such photographs taken therein may be used by HUL for any purpose in relation with Fair & Lovely Foundation, and no other permission of any manner shall be required from the Participant in this regard.

HUL may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any submissions and prohibit further participation in this Contest of any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the submission process or with the operation of this Contest or acts in violation of these terms and conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

Participant agrees to indemnify and hold HUL and its agents, officers and employees harmless against all losses and damages that may occur due to an act, omission, negligence, or deliberate act of the Participant, or for any allegation of violation of intellectual property rights of any third party.

By participating in this contest, the participant also agrees to receive further communication or intimations, though SMS / call / e-mail from HUL, with respect to surveys, promotions, offers, or advertisements for HUL or its various brands and products.

HUL will not enter into any correspondence, including email, with non-winning participants.

HUL holds the right to display the entries by the participant on such platforms as it may deem fit.

HUL’s decisions shall be final in all matters relating to this Contest, and the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions herein, and no correspondences will be entertained.

It is the responsibility of the participants to inform HUL of any change in the phone number or address of correspondence.

Apart from the entitlement to the above prize, the winner will have no other rights or claim against HUL.

The final gratification of the winner(s) is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for any other prize or gratification.

HUL shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, acts of God or any other circumstances amounting to Force Majeure.

This acceptance of the terms and conditions shall be deemed to have been given at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and the courts in Mumbai alone will have exclusive jurisdiction to entertain any proceedings in any way relating to or concerning these terms and conditions or any rights, duties, obligations or liabilities arising there under to the exclusion of all other courts in India.
