Features :
Axis Bank’s SMS Banking service provides you information in two ways
1. Automatic Alerts
2. SMS Requests.

Automatic Alerts :
** You would automatically receive alerts on your registered mobile number for all the transactions done through Card/s, Internet Banking or Mobile Banking. For all other transactions (initiated through branch, system, cheque, etc) you will receive SMS alerts for transactions above for Rs. 5,000.
** Bill payments due: If you are registered for bill payments, you would receive an alert on your cell phone informing you that a bill is pending for payment.

SMS Requests :
You can check your balance, go through the last three transactions, find out the status of your cheques and keep a tab on your demat account balances as and when you want it. All you have to do is send an SMS with the specified keyword to the SMS Banking number +919717000002 or 5676782*
You can request for the following information:
** Balance
** Last three Transactions
** Know the status of your cheque
** Request security balance in demat account
** Cheque book

Charges for the Service :
SMS Banking service is FREE (w.e.f August 2010), for all Savings Accounts.
In case of cheque book requested through SMS, charges, if any, would be applicable for cheque book as per charge schedule. For charges kindly refer charge schedule.

How to Register :
Through Phone Banking :
You can register for SMS Banking simply by calling on the Phone Banking number in your city.

Phone Banking Numbers :
At the ATM
You can register or update registration of only the primary account linked to your debit card.
** Insert the card and enter PIN number
** Select the ‘Other Services’ menu item
** Select ‘SMS Banking Registration/Update’ menu item
** Enter the mobile number you want to register or update
** Re-enter the mobile number
** Take the receipt as acknowledgement of registration or update. The account number on which the registration or update has taken effect is printed on the receipt.
Please allow us 48 hours for the registration or update to take effect.

Eligibility :
** Any user of the Bank having a savings/ current/ cash credit/ overdraft account with the bank is eligible to avail the facility.
** Such a user should both be the account holder and the sole signatory or be authorised to act independently.
** Applicants, who are joint account holders, shall be required to obtain written mandates from other account holders authorising the Bank to provide the said facility to the applicant.
** An account in the name of minor, in which the minor is a joint account holder, is not eligible for the facility.
