Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to M.A.,M.Sc., M.Sc.Ph D(Integrated)., L.L.M., M.B.A., and M.T.M. programmes offered in the University Teaching Departments for the academic year 2014-15. All the admissions are through Common Admission Test (CAT). Only online registration will be considered for CAT. However foreign students shall apply in the offline mode. Foreign students are exempted from the requirement of Entrance Test. The candidates need to register only one application (online) for opting a maximum of 4 academic programmes based on their eligibility. Candidates who are awaiting the results of the qualifying examination can also apply. The details of academic programmes, teaching Schools, eligibility conditions and other particulars are available in the Prospectus published in the websites www.mgu.ac.in and www.cat.mgu.ac.in.

Submission of Online Application :
The candidate should read carefully the Prospectus and the detailed instructions before submitting the online application. The method of submitting the online application is as follows:

Candidates who seek admission should visit either of the above websites and create an account in the webpage by typing in the required minimum personal details and by creating a password. When the account is generated the candidate will be permitted to enter the remaining personal and academic details. The candidate has to select the course option/ options from the drop down box as per his/her eleigibility. A scanned copy of the recent passport size photograph of the candidate also has to be uploaded along with the application. The registration fee can be remitted only by online payment system. Credit/Debit/Cash cards and Internet Banking facilities can be used for making payment. The details of registration fee will be as follows:
For General Candidates:Rs 500/- per each programme/cluster of programmes listed as a single option.
For SC/ST Candidates from Kerala: Rs 250/- per each programme/cluster of programmes listed as a single option.

On clicking the above button the applicant will be led to the following page
The password should be a combination of alphabets, numbers and special characters. It should contain alphabets and at least one special character and one number.
SC/ST applicants alone are eligible for Registration Fee concession. Others should select Others as the category in the screen shown below.
Type the image verification below and submit the details.
When the details are saved the following message will be displayed. Please note down the Application Number for future use.
The next step is uploading of a passport size photo(below 30 kb size).

When the photo is successfully uploaded the page for furnishing the remaining personal details will appear. On completing the personal details the following page for furnishing qualification details will appear.
The next step is the selection of the options of your choice (academic programmes) on preferential basis(Read Prospectus carefully for eligibility regarding each programme).
Test centres also can be chosen on preferential basis.
After accepting the terms and conditions you will be shown the details of the registration fee you have to pay.

On clicking the Pay Now button you will be guided to the payment gateway. You can use Debit
Card/ Cash Card/ATM or Internet Banking for making payment. Those students who don’t have
any of the above facilities for online payment can register their applications and make payments at
the nearest Akshaya Centre (applicable only to residents of Kerala).
