India Fest Dance Competition 2014 :
“Beat It : The Streets“
Street Dance :
You got the crew, the skills and the style. The song has started, the crowd is cheering and the beats are absolutely out of control. It’s not a dream but a definite reality once you make your way to Indiafest 2014. So don’t wait for it, just bring it.

Eligibility Criteria :
** 1 team per college
** Teams must submit a link of a video of their dance skills.
** All participants must be registered college students.
** OTSE not allowed.

Judging Criteria :
** Choreography
** Synchronization
** Floor Craft
** Overall on :stage performance

Eliminations :
Short listed teams will perform at the zonals.
** No of Participants per team : 6: 20
** Time : 4 minutes

Finals :
Qualifying participants will perform at the finals
** No of Participants per team : 6 : 20
** Time : 8 minutes

Rules :
** Last date for registration is 17th November 2013. No late entries will be allowed.
** Use of Props is allowed. List of requirements should be submitted keeping in line with the submission dates.
** Exceeding time limit will result in negative marking and even disqualification.
** 2 copies of the final track should be submitted prior to the performance during the zonals in Mp3 format ONLY on a CD with team and college name written on it, any other format could result in disqualification

“Beat It : The Thumka”
Indian Dance
The colours of Bharatanatyam, the story of Kathakali, the drama of Kuchipudi and the emotions of Desi Bollywood all brought to one stage. It’s time to get with the beat : The Desi way!!

** All participants must be registered college students.
** OTSE not allowed.

** Synchronization
** Floor Craft
** Overall on :stage performance

** Time : 4 minutes

Finals :
Qualifying teams will perform at the finals.
** Time : 8 minutes
** No of participants : 6:20

Solo Impromptu Dance :
If you’re just moving at a party, shaking at the club or even going crazy at a concert and somehow the spotlight is always on you then get ready to show us what you got because at Indiafest 2014 things just got a whole lot bigger.

** 1 participant per college
** Participants must submit a link of a video of their dance skills.
** All participants must be registered college students.

Judging Criteria :
** Spontaneity
** Choreography
** Expressions
** Rhythm
** Audience reaction

Eliminations :
Short listed participants will perform at the zonals.
** Round : Impromptu Qualifiers Round
** No of Participants : 1
** Time : 3 minutes

Finals :
** Qualifying participants will perform at the finals.
** Rounds : To be revealed on location.

Rules :
** Last date of registration is 17th November 2013. No late entries will be accepted.
** Song will be provided on :the:spot.
** All rounds will be disclosed on location.
** Every participant will be allowed to listen to the musical piece allotted to him/her only once.
** The musical piece assigned to each participant will be revealed not more than 30 minutes prior to their performance.
** During the performance variation in dance styles is allowed.
