Merit-cum-Means Scholarship For Minorities 2014-15 :
1 : Application are invited by the Ministry of Minority Affairs on online for Merit- cum-Means scholarship for the year 2014-15 from the students belonging to the minority communities notified by the Central Government, who pursuing professional and technical courses in colleges finstitutes recognized by appropriate authority.
2 : The financial assistance will be given to pursue degree / post graduate level technical and professional courses from recognized institutions. Students belonging to minority community who get admission in technical/ professional courses should have not less than 50% marks at higher secondary/ graduation level. Annual income of the beneficiary/parents or guardian of beneficiary should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh from all sources.
3 : A scholarship holder under this scheme shall not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course. Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years will depend on successful completion of the courses during the preceding year. 30% scholarship is reserved for candidates, if enough women candidates are not available, male candidates will be selected.
4 : Scholarship amount as course fee, maximum of Rs.20,000/- for not listed institute and full reimbursement of course fee charged for listed colleges and maintenance allowance for Rs.5,000/- for day scholar & Rs.10,000/- for hosteller.

Fresh :
The last date for submission of online applications for fresh scholarship by students on 15/09/2014, submission of duly singed printed version of online application by students to the State/UT on 25/09/2014 and scrutiny of online applications by institutes on 30/10/2014.
Renewal :
The last date for submission of online applications for renewal scholarship by students on 15/ 11/2014, submission of duly signed printed version of online renewal application by students to the State / UT on 20/11/2014 and scrutiny of online applications by institutes on 25/11/2014.
Note :
The Principal of the respective Educational Institutions are requested to upload the courses offered, fee structure, bank details etc by the respective Institution in OSMS, immediately so that the student could submit the fresh and renewal scholarship application through online.
How to Apply :
It is informed by the Ministry that the students should go through the instructions given in the ‘student module’ in the website www.momascholarship.gov.in. The FAQs available on the home page of the website for filling up of online application. The site can be accessed through the URL www.momascholarship.gov.in this link is also available in the in the Ministry’s website www. minorityaffairsgovin.

Applicants are advised to take print-out of the duly filled-in application forms, through OSMS, and submit the same through their a respective institutes along with the following documents. Without receipt of hard copy in the State/UT Department, the application is liable to be rejected and Aadhaar Number is mandatory this time.
Documents Required :
** One copy of passport size photograph with signature pasted on application form
** Attested copy of certificates of educational qualifications
** Income declaration- affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs.10/- for self-employed parents/guardian or Income Certificate from the employer for employed parents/guardian.
** Minority community declarationv affidavit on non—judicial stamp paper worth Rs.10/- by the student that he/she belongs to any one of the minority communities notified by Central Government. (certificate not required to be enclosed for renewal application}.
** Proof of permanent residence (Certificate not required to be enclosed for renewal application if address has not changed).
** Receipt in acknowledgement of scholarship in the previous year duly countersigned by the Head of the school] institute. (for renewal case]
** Bank Account Number of the Student in any Nationalized Bank
Note :
Non-submission of above said declaration/certificate will result in summary rejection without assigning any reason whatsoever.
