Inviting Application For Post-matric Scholarship Scheme 2014-15 For Student Belonging To The Minority Communities :
1 : Applications are invited by the Ministry of Minority Affairs for Post-Matric Scholarship for the year 2014-15 from the students belonging to minority communities notified by the Central Government, who pursuing studies from class XI to PhD (XI, XII, Technical/Vocational, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, M.Phil 8:. PhD] studying in Government/ recognized private Schools] Colleges/ Institutes including technical/vocational course in ITl/ITC.
2 :The Financial assistance will be given to eligible students who have secured not less than 50% marks in previous – nal examination and annual income of his fher parents/ guardians from all sources does not exceed 12 lakhs. A scholarship holder under this scheme shall not avail any dther scholarship / stipend for pursuing the studies and will not be given to more than two students in a family.
3 :Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years will depend up on the successful completion of the courses during the preceding year. 30% 0f scholarships are reserved for candidates, if enough women candidates are not available, male candidates would be selected.
4 :The Ministry has informed that, Online Scholarship Management System [OSMS] has already been introduced in the Post-Matric Scholarship scheme, from the year 2012-13. The site can be accessed through the URL www.momascholarship.gov.in and a link to the site is also made available in the website of the Ministry i.e minorityaifairs.govi.n. The FAQs available on the home page of the website for Filling up of online application. Applicants are advice to take print-out of the duly Filled-in application forms, through OSMS, and submit the same along with all supporting documents through their respective institutes along with the following documents.

Documents Required :
i. One copy of passport size photograph with signature pasted on application form
ii. Attested copy of certi- cates of educational quali- cations
iii. Income declaration-affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper worth – .10/- for self-employed parents/ guardian or Income Certi- cate from the employer for employed parents / guardian.
iv. Minority community declaration af- davit on non—judicial stamp paper worth .10/- by the student that he/she belongs to any one of the minority communities notified by Central Government. [Certi- cate not required to be enclosed for renewal application).
v. Proof of permanent residence (Certi- cate not required to be enclosed for renewal application if address has not changed).
vi. Receipt in acknowledgement of scholarship in the previous year duly countersigned by the Head of the school/ institute. {for renewal case)
vii. Bank Account Number of the Student in any Nationalized Bank
Important :
Non-submission of above said declarations / certificates, unsigned, incomplete application shall be liable to be rejected without assigning any reason whatsoever. It is reiterated that only Online applications under Post-Matric Scholarship scheme will be accepted from this year, and no request for accepting Offine applications will be entertained. Without receipt of hard copy in the State/ UT Department, the application is also liable to be rejected
Note :
The Principal of the respective Educational Institutions are requested to upload the courses offered, fee structure, bank details etc by the respective Institutions in OSMS, immediately so that the student could submit the fresh and renewal scholarship application through online.
Last Date :
Fresh :
The last date for submission of online applications for fresh scholarship by students on 31/07/2014, submission of duly singed printed version of online application by students to the Directorate of Social Welfare, Goalghar, Port Blair on 10/08/2014 and scrutiny of online applications by institutes on 20/08/2014.
Renewal :
The last date for submission of online applications for renewal scholarship by students on 10/ 10/2014, submission of duly signed printed version of online application by students to the Directorate of Social Welfare, Goalghar, Port Blair on 20/10/2014 and scrutiny of online applications by institutes on 31/ 10/2014.

Distribution of scholarship for the year 2014-15 among the students belonging to minority community for A&N Islands is 282 i.e Muslirns-76, Christian- 199, Sikh-04, Buddhist-01,Jain-Nil and Farsi-2
