Qualifications and Experience Requirement:
Assistant Professor (Core Engineering excluding Animation & Multimedia Technology):
Essential:
i. ME/M.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline in First Class (5% Relaxation for SCs/STs) with consistently good academic record; preferably Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university.
ii. Age < 40 years on the last date of receiving application.
Desirable:
i. Evidence of participation in sponsored research, continuing education and/or industrial consultancy programmes;
ii. Proven record of guiding UG/PG students and team work;
iii. Participation in professional society activities.
Experience:
i. Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 1 year;
ii. Good publications record in referred scientific/ professional journals.

Assistant Professor (Basic Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences):
Essential:
i. MA/MSc Degree in the relevant discipline, in First Class (5% relaxation to SC/STs or as per UGC norms) or qualified in NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, with consistently good academic record; preferably Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university.
ii. Age < 40 years on the last date of receiving application.
Desirable:
i. Evidence of participation in sponsored research, continuing education and/or industrial consultancy programmes;
ii. Proven record of guiding UG/PG students and team work;
iii. Participation in professional society activities.
Experience:

Assistant Professor (Animation &Multimedia Technology):
Essential:
i. Master’s Degree in relevant branch (Animation or Multimedia or Fine Arts/Visual Art) from a recognized University or Institute of repute with first class (5% relaxation to SC/STs or as per UGC norms) in Master’s Degree and specialized in one or more of the following fields: 2D and Flash Animation/3DModeling/Texturing/Rigging/Animation/Lighting/ Compositing/VFX/Audio and Video Editing.
ii. Age<40 years on the last date of receiving application.
Desirable:
i. Evidence of participation in sponsored research, continuing education and/or industrial consultancy programmes.
ii. Proven record of guiding UG/PG students and teamwork.
iii. Participation in professional society activities.
Experience: i. Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 1 year.

Associate Professor (Core Engineering):

Fee : Application Fee for various faculty positions is Rs. 600/- (Rupees six hundred) for GE/OBC and Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred) for SC/ST. Application Forms without application fee will not be scrutinized. Application fee should be sent through Demand Draft in favour of “CIT Kokrajhar” payable at Kokrajhar drawn from any nationalized bank. The application fees once paid will not be refunded on any account.

i) The duly filled in application in the prescribed format (downloaded from the Institute website cit.ac.in) along with supporting enclosures must reach the office of the Registrar, CIT, Kokrajhar on or before 27th June, 2014 at the address given below. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the post of …………………….in the Department/subject of ……………….”. Applications received after the due date shall not be considered.

ii) The applicant may send their application through email at faculty_recruitment@cit.ac.in along with supporting enclosures. The hard copies of the application along with enclosures and original Demand Draft must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 27th June, 2014.
