Applications from Outstanding Sportspersons are invited for recruitment in Clerical Cadre on the following terms & conditions

Name of the post : Clerical Staff
Age : Between 18 & 26 years as on 01.04.2014

Educational Qualifications: Xth standard pass or equivalent.
Sports Qualifications: Should have represented the State in National event, or the District in State Level event with distinction, or his University in an Interuniversity event with Distinction or if he was a member of the Combined Universities Team.

Pay Scale :
i). On receipt of the applications, the applications will be scrutinized and candidates having found to possess the qualifications as stated may be called for an interview and selections made strictly on the basis of merit. Since the recruitment will be on the basis of Sports Qualifications, maximum weightage will be given to this factor as well as to the age of candidates. No further communication will be made to unsuccessful candidates.
ii). There should be usual character verification and medical tests for the candidates recruited.
iii). All appointments under this scheme shall be entirely at the discretion of the Bank and shall be made at the starting stage of the pay scales admissible to the post i.e. 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900- 600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300 and all these appointments will be on probation for a six months periods.
iv) The Bank will not consider recruitment for those sports persons who are already working in some other bank unless the application is routed through the employer Bank.
v). At the time of appointment, the candidate must be an active sportsman and should be fit enough to take part in the future tournaments as well.
vi). Sports/Games certificates/achievements may be got verified by theBank from the issuing authorities independently also. In case of any doubt, the candidates may be asked to give a demonstration in the game.
vii). Only Indian citizens are eligible for appointment under this scheme. Age will also be relaxed in the case of reserved categories as per the guidelines issued by the Government from time to time.
viii). The certificates relating to efficiency/merit in game would be required from the authorities as prescribed by Government or Bank. Mare recommendation from reputed sports club does not carry any weightage unless the applicant produces the requisite certificates from the prescribed certifying authorities. Certificates and credentials have to be submitted before appointment.
ix). The Sportsmen recruited under these rules would be obliged to play for the Banks’ team whenever and wherever necessary. If a Sportsmen employee is required to participate in State/National/International events he will have to seek prior permission of the Bank and the Bank reserved the right to withhold such permission at its own discretion without assigning any reason.
x). Refusal to play for Bank’s Team or failure to obtain prior permission of the Bank to play elsewhere would tentamount to misconduct and shall attract disciplinary proceedings provided for in the service rules.
xi). All sportsmen recruited under these rules will be required to give a written undertaking to the Bank to the above effect at the time of their appointment in the Bank.

How to Apply :
Interested players may apply on a plain paper in their own hand writing or typed stating full bio-data like full name, Date of birth, Address, Photographs, Educational qualification, particulars of current employer if any, Sports qualification, alongwith their all related self attested and attested by the Gazetted officers, supporting documents. Caste Certificates should be in the format of Govt. of India. The OBC certificate containing the non-creamy clause should be issued for the current financial year. The envelop of the application should be marked as “Recruitment of Outstanding Sportspersons.”
