Haj 2014 :
1 : The Application Forms for Haj-2014 shall be available from 1st February, 2014. Guidelines and Application Forms for Haj-2014 have been combined in one booklet. Applicants must read the Guidelines carefully before filling up the Haj Application Forms.

2 : Obtain Guidelines and Haj Application Forms from State / Union Territory Haj Committees (free of cost) or download the same from the website of Haj Committee of India.

3 : Submit the Haj Application Forms in the office of respective State / Union Territory Haj Committees on or before 15.03.2014, during working hours.

4 : A person can perform Haj through Haj Committee of India only once in a life time. If anyone gets a confirmed seat by giving false information it shall be cancelled at any stage, even at the time of boarding the flight. The entire amount deposited by such Repeaters shall also be forfeited.

5 : Applicants must have a valid Indian International Passport issued on or before 15.03.2014 and valid at-least upto 31.03.2015.

6 : The applicants must give details of their Account in a Bank having IFS Code.

Note :
Only physically and mentally fit applicants are permitted to apply.

“Once In A Life Time Haj Through Haj Committee Of India” :
Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India directed to restrict the number of Pilgrimages to a Haj applicant through Haj Committee of India to “once in a life time” as against the existing “once in five years”. This is a major change introduced for Haj 2014.

Availability Of Haj Application Forms :
The Haj Application Forms with Haj Guidelines for Haj 1434 (H) – 2014 can be obtained from the State/Union Territory Haj Committee free of cost or can be downloaded from www.hajcommittee.com. Photo copies can also be used.

Eligibility For Haj :
Any Muslim citizen of India can apply for Haj Pilgrimage except :
I) Any person not in possession of International Passport issued on or before 20.03.2013 and valid at least upto 31.3.2014
ii) Ban on Repeaters : Those who have performed Haj earlier through Haj Committee of India. It is to further clarify that a person who performed Haj in the earlier years through Haj Committee of India is not eligible to apply for Haj 2013. All persons in the cover should not have performed Haj earlier through Haj Committee of India.
iii) Any person who is found to have furnished false information and concealed the fact of having performed Haj earlier shall not be allowed to proceed for Haj and if found he/she will also be off-loaded even at the Embarkation Point and the entire amount deposited by him/her shall be forfeited.

How To Apply :
1 : Haj Application Forms can be obtained either from the office of the State/UT Haj Committee or can be downloaded from the website of Haj Committee of India [hajcommittee.com].

2 : Thoroughly read the Guidelines and Instructions part printed on the Haj Application Form, fill the Haj Application accordingly, visit the nearest branch of State Bank of India and deposit (non-refundable) payment AT Rs.300/- per applicant towards Registration Fee, submit the Haj Application in the office of the respective State Haj Committee and obtain Cover No. (Registration No.).

3; The Cover Head shall make a cover of all the applications duly completed in all respects in terms of Guidelines for Haj and submit it to the State / Union Territory Haj Committees.

4 : Cover head (Group Head) is a MALE person, whose application shall be given the first serial number in a particular cover. He shall bear the full responsibility of the other applicants registered in his cover.

Note :
Only a male can be the head of the Cover.

Companion :
A companion is the nearest relative of the Pilgrim. For 70+ category companion shall be husband/wife, brother/sister, son/daughter, son-in–law/daughter- in- law, Grand son/ Grand Daughter, Nephew/Niece only.

Nominee :
For Haj Pilgrimage, a Nominee is a person nominated by the Haji appropriately in the Haj Application Form, who can be contacted in India in case of any emergency.

Mehram :
The male companion of a Lady Pilgrim(s) during the entire course of Haj journey (as described in SHARIAT), is called a Mehram.

Last Date :
The last date fixed for the receiving of Haj Application Forms in the office of respective State / U.T. Haj Committees is called the Last Date.

Facilities for NRIs / Frequent Flyers / Businessman & Umrah Pilgrims :
The NRIs / frequent flyers / businessman / Umrah Pilgrims / official / medical / family visits etc. can be exempted from submitting original passport at the time of Haj Application. They need to submit self-attested copy of Passport alongwith an application giving cogent reason for late submission of Passport.

Qurrah :
Qurrah means draw of lots. Cover numbers are randomly selected by the computer using specific software. Qurrah is held in certain States / U.Ts., where the number of Haj Applications received in excessof their allotted Haj Quota.

Kindly note the steps to down load Pay-in-slip for Haj-2014 as under :-
Step- 1 :
a) Preferably use Mozilla Firefox browser
b) Internet Explorer
Step- 2 :In address bar type www.hajcommittee.com then enter
Step- 3 : At top of Bar Menu -> from left -> 4th option is “ Pay in Slip download “ click on it
Step- 4 : A window as shown below displays on the screen PAY IN SLIP DOWNLOAD
Step-5 : By default it chooses “With Amount” , if you want without Amount kindly select “Without Amount”
Step -6 : Enter cover number and click on Load button as shown on the above screen.
Step -7 : The following page appears on screen
Step -8 : Click on “Click to print” button as shown in above fig
Step- 9 :The below shown new window opens
Step-10 : Do not click on ‘OK’ right now
Step- 11 :Click on “Cancel” button
Step- 12 :On cancel (After step 11) below screen appears Click on button
Step- 13 :Before printing the slip first check the setting as mentioned below.
Step- 14 : Click on “FILE” at menu bar -> Drop down menu display
Step -15 : Click on “PAGE SETUP” as shown in fig below
Step -16 : In format set Orientation: “Portrait” and Scale = 100% as shown in fig below
Step- 17 :Set all Margins zero (0) & Header/Footer set blank as shown in fig
Step -18 : Set paper size A4 and Scale to Fit set 100% as shown in fig
Step -19 :Before printing check print preview as shown in fig
Step -20: Kindly print the Pay-in-slip

Note : Don’t use Google Chrome for down load & printing of pay in slip
