Great Minds Long Miles-Quest for Answers Contest 2014 :
Personnel from Siemens Limited and Times Internet Limited (TIL) who are responsible for the conduct of the Contest

Registration :
1. Registration forms for all applicants have to be submitted from the following website : www.mindsandmiles.com. In case of any queries or clarifications please feel free to contact mindsndmiles AT gmail.com or 1–800–11–4565 during office hours.
2. The Registration Form should reach us by 1800 hours on May 31, 2014. Forms reaching after 1800 hours on May 31, 2014 are liable for rejection. Acceptance of entries after the specified date is at the sole discretion of the Management and Jury.
3. The contest is open for projects executed by small and medium enterprises or individuals who have used innovation in technology to create a positive impact in the society in India.
4. If the applicant is an Individual – he/she can submit
a. Own projects – projects owned by the applicant
b. Referred projects – projects owned by someone else that the applicant is aware about
5. In case of referred projects, the applicant must be well versed with the project and must have in– depth understanding of the project, its innovation in technology and its impact on the society.
6. In case of SMEs, the projects have to be owned by the SMEs.
7. All projects should be based on projects that have been in operation in India for at least 24 months as on December 31, 2013.
8. ID proof document numbers are required to be entered by the applicant before submitting the Registration Form. Acceptable ID proofs are specified in the Registration Form.
9. Registration Forms which are incomplete / incorrect / without adequate supporting documents will be disqualified from participating in the contest.
10. Applications will be accepted only in English
11. Disqualification of the Registration Forms is at the sole discretion of Management on a case by case basis. The said disqualification will not be subject to any challenge. Decision of the Management shall be final and binding on the Applicants
12. The Registration Form has to be completed in full as per guidelines mentioned. Incomplete Forms are liable for rejection.
13. The management assumes no responsibility for any technical or natural conditions that prevent the receipt and subsequent evaluation of the Registration Forms. Applicants are solely responsible to take into consideration the time taken for uploading, bandwidth connectivity, inability to log–in/register due to server traffic and/or any other technical problems during the submissions of applications. The management will not be held liable for incomplete, partially uploaded or late entries for any reason whatsoever. Incomplete and partially uploaded applications will not be considered for evaluations for the contest.
14. There is no entry fee for applicant registration.
15. The applicant must describe a project to be carried out in India and to benefit citizens of India
16. The applicant must provide a level of detail sufficient to show each of the specific activities to be carried out by the applicant and others necessary to achieve the project’s goals.
17. The project being submitted by the applicant has to fall into one of the defined categories.
18. The segregation of categories is only for the purpose of registration. The evaluations are not category dependent and the top three winners are selected on merit from all the projects submitted.
19. Applicants can apply under only one category. If the category applied in and the project details are not in sync the application might be rejected at the sole discretion of management.
20. Only one application per applicant will be accepted. In case of duplicate applications i.e. same project entered twice by an applicant or same applicant entering two different projects, both the applications will be rejected at the sole discretion of management.

Applications cannot in any way :
** Suggest legalization of any illegal drugs or activity, prostitution or pornography or other illegal activities or goods and contain photographs or video that has images of violence, drugs and pornography and/or other illegal activities, or goods
** Challenge, lobby for or seek to change current laws, enact new laws or overthrow the government
** Be inconsistent with the official registration guidelines
** Be inconsistent with the corporate policies of the management
** Suggest or encourage the taking up of arms against any person, government or entity
** Discriminate against, disparage or denigrate any race, caste, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, political orientation, national origin, ancestry, marital status or veteran status.
** Contains or comprises of any matter likely to hurt the religious susceptibilities of any class or section of the citizens of India;
** Disparage or denigrate any product, service, person, company or organization including but not limited to the management and its affiliates
** Encourage the cessation of or act to negatively impact a business or enterprise
** Promote Alcohol, Illegal drugs & activity, tobacco, firearms /weapons, prostitution or pornography

General :
1. The management has appointed an independent Jury comprising of eminent people from various industries and academia, who will select the winners for various categories. The decision of the Jury will be final and binding. No queries or objections will be entertained.
2. Applicant will be notified by email using the email ID they provided in their Registration Form if their application is eligible to proceed to the proceeding rounds.
3. Participation in the contest does not entitle the Applicant to a gratification.
4. The information mentioned in the Registration Form should be authentic. As a part of the contest process, an audit may be carried out along with field visits, of the various stakeholders mentioned in the Registration Form to verify your claims. If such a request is made and the Applicant does not comply within 72 hours from the date the request is made, the Applicant would be disqualified from the contest. Registration Forms, for which information is not found to be true, will be summarily dismissed.
5. Determination of whether information is incorrect or not rests with the management
6. Entry to this contest and/or winning this contest does not entitle the Applicant (Individual or SME), its associates, family or agencies to any rights of ownership, license or use in or to the Great Minds Long Miles — Quest for Answers Contest, Siemens, Times Internet, EY, TLC or Group M brand. If the applicant wishes to make any use of any of these brands for any purpose then, he/she must agree the same with the management in writing before doing so. If the management agrees in writing to grant the applicant any such rights (which shall be the sole discretion of the management) then it shall have the right to withdraw our permission at any time without prior notice.
7. The management reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice with retrospective effect, and does not take the responsibility for any loss or damage that any person / Organization / Applicant may suffer as a result of the contest being withdrawn or its terms amended
8. The management reserves the right to cancel or vary this competition due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
9. The management may disqualify an Applicant or withdraw the gratification from a winner, in case any information provided by the Applicant is found to be faulty or incorrect at any stage of the contest.
10. Your project and entity must remain in operation for the entire duration of this contest under the same management. If the entity ceases operations or there is change in management before the conclusion of the contest, the application maybe disqualified at the sole discretion of the management
11. Participation in the contest will be construed as an acceptance of the terms and conditions stated herein and the registration form submitted by the applicants would be their acceptance of these terms and conditions
12. Applicants and winners permit free of cost the use of their name and factual information about their participation and application in the public media (for the build–up to the contest for the TV show, promotion purpose etc.) and do not have any right to any revenues earned through intellectual property rights generated by the contest, if any
13. The management and its sub–contractors will not be and shall not be liable for any claims/disputes made by the applicants/entities in relation to the contest
14. The applicants agree that they shall hold harmless the management, its employees, officers, contractors or other persons and shall defend them against any loss, claim, demands, costs, damages, judgments, expenses or liability arising out of or in connection with any or all claims whether or not groundless, that may be brought against the management by any third party in connection with participation in or winning the contest
15. All gratifications are only for recognition of a project and not for certification or rating of the process, methodology adopted by an Organization. The winner Individual/Organization shall be recognized only for the project enrolled for the contest.
16. The management reserves all rights to refuse rights to participation, service and involvement at any time, with or without cause and with or without any prior notice for any violation of the Terms and Conditions. Upon such termination or suspension, the applicant’s rights to access Great Minds Long Miles — Quest for Answers Contest will immediately cease. Once the applicant’s application is terminated, cancelled or suspended, any data that the applicant had stored on the website may not be retrieved later.
17. The applicants agree that the management may under certain circumstances and without prior notice, immediately terminate the applicant’s access to the website/services. Causes for termination may include, but shall not be limited to requests by enforcement or government agencies, etc.
18. The management shall disqualify any person who acts against the spirit of the Great Minds Long Miles — Quest for Answers Contest (including but not limited to posting ill remarks, bad mouthing, defaming, threatening, statements suggesting cash for votes or any other benefits, etc) with or without any prior notice.
19. The disqualification of an application can happen at any stage of the evaluation process. In case of any disputes the management’s decision will be considered final and binding to all applicants.
20. In case of same projects submitted by two different applicants, either both or one of them are liable to be rejected solely on the basis of the jury’s discretion.
21. The Applicant understands and acknowledges that the role of the channel “TLC” is restricted to being the TV partner for this Contest. The channel “TLC” or its management has no role to play in the contest process, including receipt of applications, determining eligibility, short listing of Applicants or determination of eventual winner(s). Each Applicant hereby agrees to not hold “TLC” or its management liable for any claim / dispute arising out of or in relation to the Contest.
