Application Procedure For Tenements/ Plots :
Question-1 : How to and where to apply to get the tenement or developed plot of the housing Board?
Answer : The tenements /houses constructed by West Bengal Housing Board are sold by giving advertisement in the Newspaper by inviting applications.
Question-2 : After the application how the tenements or plots are distributed?
Answer : 1) After the acceptance of application forms, scrutiny of the forms is done to check the first hand eligibility of the applicant & the allotments are made as per the standard procedure of West Bengal Housing Board i.e. by draw of lots.
2) Commercial Assets are disposed of through lottery or open bidding.
Question-3 : Has Authority appointed any agents or brokers to sell its tenements?
Answer : No. Authority has not appointed any broker or agents to sell the tenements constructed by the West Bengal Housing Board. The marketing department of the board is capable and well equipped with sufficient staff and machinery.
Question-4 :Can I apply at any time to get the flat ?
Answer : No, You cannot. Because to sell the assets available with West Bengal Housing Board, an advertisement is given in the newspaper which will give all the details (kindly refer to Question-1. for details.)
Question-5 : What are the income limitations for applying for these flats/plots etc.
Answer : Income for various sizes / groups like (Economically Weaker Section(EWS), Low Income Group(LIG),Middle Income Group (MIG), Higher Income Group(HIG), are decided at the time of registration/invitation of applications.
Question-6 : Do we need to pay any amount and any document for obtaining application form?
Answer : The applicant is not supposed to submit any document while obtaining application form but he/she will have to pay an amount on account of cost of application form & brochure as would be mentioned in the advertisement and the information booklet.
