Applications are invited for filling up of the following non-teaching posts in the Jawaharlal Nehru University as per details given against each;

1. Name of the post : Archival Superintendent-Archives on Contemporary History (ACH)-Group B
No. of post : 1 post-UR
Pay Band-2 : Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay Rs.4600/-
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Minimum 55% in M.A. in Modern Indian History and 2-4 years experience in Research/Archives.
(ii) Knowledge of new media resources for historical research.
(iii) Excellent knowledge of English and at least one other modern Indian Language.
Desirable Qualifications:
(i) Diploma in Archival Studies, from National Museum Institute or equivalent.
(ii) Interest in expanding e-based resources and links with other archives

2.Name of the post : Senior Technical Assistant- Centre for the Study of Regional Development, School of Social Sciences (CSRD/SSS) –Group-B

Essential Qualifications:
1. M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with at least 55% marks.
2. Experience in conducting laboratory and practical exercises in Physical Geography.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience in handling and managing instruments/equipment related to Geomorphology, Hydrology & Climatology.
2. Competence in assisting field work in Physical Geography, especially in mountain or other areas of harsh environment.
3. Experience and or/diploma in Remote-Sensing and GIS applications.

3.Name of the post : Assistant Archivist- Archives on Contemporary History (ACH) – Group-B

Pay Band-2 : Rs. 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4200):
Essential Qualifications:
1. M.A. in Modern History.
2. Experience of Preservation of records, management of archives (minimum 15 years).
3. Good knowledge of English.
Desirable: Diploma in Archival Studies.

4.Name of the post : Technical Assistant – Animal House, School of Life Sciences (SLS) – Group-C
No. of post : 1 post-reserved for ST
Pay Band-1 : Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.2800)
Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Mathematics/Physical Sciences with knowledge of operating systems Windows-7, MS-Office and Linux, Basic knowledge of Networking and Accounts.
Desirable Qualifications: Good Experience in handling computers, LCD Projectors and peripherals, Audio-visuals for organizing Workshops, Seminars and Conferences.

Upper Age Limit: for all posts is 35 years.
