Technical Posts :
1 Name of the post : Technical Assistant (Laboratory Technician)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-1, 5200-20200 + 2800 Grade Pay
No. of post : 04
Essential : Bachelor’s degree in Zoology/Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Fisheries Science/ Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
Desirable :
i) One year experience in the relevant field.
ii) Knowledge of computer usage
Age limit: 18-30

2 Name of the post : Technical Assistant (Field/Farm)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-1, 5200-20200 + 2800 Grade Pay

Essential : Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Sociology/ Statistics/Economics/ Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
Desirable :
i) One year experience in the relevant field.
ii) Knowledge of Computer usage

3.Name of the post : Technical Assistant (Press & Editorial) Hindi Translator
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-1,5200-20200 + 2800 Grade Pay

Essential :
i) Bachelor’s degree in Hindi Language or equivalent qualification from a recognized university, with three years experience in science writing and science journalism in Hindi as evidenced by published material.
ii) Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
Desirable :
i) Diploma in Journalism
ii) Knowledge of Computer (Hindi typing on Computer)

Administrative Posts :
4 Name of the post : Stenographer Gr.III
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-1, 5200-20200 + 2400 Grade Pay

Educational : 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University
Professional efficiency : The candidates will be given one dictation test in English or in Hindi at 80 w.p.m for 10 minutes. The candidates who opt to take the test in English will be required to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes on computer and the candidates who opt to take the test in Hindi will be required to transcribe the matter 65 minutes on computer.
Age limit: 18-27

5 Name of the post : Lower Division Clerk
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-1, 5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay

i) 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University
ii) A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer
(35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
Age limit: 18-27

6.Name of the post : Lower Division Clerk (Hindi Typist)
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-1, 5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay

i) 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University
ii) A typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer
(30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

7.Name of the post : Skipper Grade II
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-III, 15600-39100 + 5400/- Grade Pay

i) Matriculation or equivalent qualification
ii) Certificate of competency as Skipper
iii) Five years practical experience on board fishing vessel after obtaining Mate Fishing Vessel competency Certificate
Age limit: 18-35

Fee : Application fee of 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit – CIFT” payable at Cochin should be enclosed alongwith the application.
