The Govt. of Karnataka has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) to the Centralised Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore.
This year the application for KARTET- APRIL 2014 has been made completely On-Line with the facility to upload photograph and signature of the applicant. The particulars will be filled online and the scanned images of photograph and signature (in JPG format only) will be uploaded at the time of filling the application form. The candidates are advised to keep the scanned images of photograph and signature of the candidates ready in JPG format before applying On-Line.
ELIGIBILITY :
The following persons are eligible for appearing in the KARTET.
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage – Paper – I
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII: Elementary Stage – Paper – II
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed.
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I – VIII : Elementary Stage – Paper – I and II
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
THE EXAMINATION FEE FOR KARNATAKA TEACHERS ELIGIBILITY TEST:
CATEGORY Only Paper – I or II Both Paper – I & II
General/OBC Rs.500/- Rs.800/-
SC/ST/Differently Abled Person(Exam Fee Only) Rs.250/- Rs.400/-
Service Charges Rs: 10/- will be charged extra by the Bank
ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION :
Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ through KARTET’s website schooleducation.kar.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form and upload their scanned images of photograph & signature. After successful submission of data, Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number and address slip.
Application Procedure: 4 Simple steps to be followed to apply online.
STEP 1: Fill in the Online Application Form with “Registration” and “Login”
STEP 2: “Personal Details” & Generate Challan to pay examination Fee at SBM
STEP 3: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature
STEP 4: Download Confirmation page / Generate Application Form
METHOD OF SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM :
Log on to website schooleducation.kar.nic.in
Read the instructions to apply and procedure for on-line submission of Application Form carefully. At the end of this page, following four links to apply online are given:
(a) Fill in the on-line application “REGISTRATION” Part-1.
(b) Next Step is “LOGIN” for application to furnish the “Personal Details” by using the “User Name” and “Password” which are already messaged to your Mobile Number.
(c) Next step is “Generate Challan” after completing of the “Personal Details”
(d) Make payment of fee through download Challan for payment in the designated accounts of State Bank of Mysore..
(e) Fill in the on-line Application Form furnishing the details of fee deposited.
(f) Upload Scanned Images of photograph and signature in the on-line application form
(g) Take print out of Confirmation page(s) i.e the Complete Online Application copy.
Open the first link, follow the instructions carefully and submit the information. At the end of this page, two links “Submit” and “Reset” are given. If you are satisfied that filled in information is correct then Click “Submit” otherwise “Reset”. After opening “Next”, information submitted can be checked and if information is correct, go for “Final Submit” otherwise go for “Back”.
After Final Submission of data, programme will automatically take you to second link for uploading images of photograph and signature in JPG format only.
After Final Submission of data, programme will automatically take you to third link for payment of fees.
Follow the instructions and submit the fee. After successful submission of fee, programme will take you to fourth link to take print out of the Confirmation Page.
The Candidate particulars can be edited till the payment of fees by the challan is not downloaded. Once the payment of fee has been made / challan downloaded, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage.
Two copies of the Application / Confirmation page may be kept safely by the candidate for any future need / correspondence.
All the four links for online submission of application form, uploading of images, payment of fee and to take print out of confirmation page can also be used separately.
Facility of submission of application form, payment of fee and printing of the Computer Generated Confirmation Page would be ceased on 05-05-2014. Hence, candidates are required to complete the process within the prescribed duration.
