Eligibility :
Residential Education Institution Society :
** Selection through entrance exam.
** Admission on merit cum means.
** Reservation for Girl Students – 33 .333% ( ie : 1/3rd of total)
** Students belonging to Andhra Pradesh.
** Students studying regular post matriculation courses recognized by the Education Department / Education Board / universities.
** Scholarships shall be sanctioned at one level of General Course and one level of Professional Course only except Engineering, MBA & MCA.
** Income Certificate & Caste Certificate issued by the MRO should be produced.
** The distance between the residence of the applicant and the college should be more than 5kms.
BC / MBC / DNC Scholarship :
Candidates should have secured minimum 75% of attendance in the previous year of study. Annual income of parents should be below Rs.1,00,000/-
Minority Scholarship :
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination and annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.
Beedi Scholarship :
The student should be son / daughter of beedi worker. The total family income should not exceed Rs.10,000/- per month of Beedi Worker. Income particulars with salary certificate to be obtained in case both the parents are beedi workers.
BPR&D Fellowship :
The fellowships are open to Indian National of 30 years of age in General Category and 35 years of age in Reserve Category (SC/ST/OBC) as on the date of publication of Advertisement for the purpose every year.
First or second class Master’s Degree not less than 55% marks for General Category and 50% for Reserve Category (SC/ST/OBC) in Criminology, Sociology, Social work, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Public Administration, Political Science, Law and Police Administration.
How to Apply :
The eligible students have to apply online through the specially created website www.sbms.ap.gov.in. In addition to the existing lone website, one more new website viz., sbms2.ap.gov.in has been created.

The eligibility criteria is as follows :
** The student should have obtained 70% marks and above in their Senior School Certificate Examination, last annual examination, as the case may be. Since the Scholarship is awardable every year, marks obtained in the last annual examination only are to be considered.
** The student should be studying in College/ Professional Institute and should not be in receipt of any other Scholarship.
** The family income of the applicant/parent/guardian should not exceed Rs. 48,000 p.a.
Those who are eligible may apply to the Deputy Director of Education (Scholarship) on the prescribed form available from his office (free of cost).
Last Date :
The last date of receipt of application form in this office is a date of November.
The application form must be accompanied by the following documents :
** attested photocopy of OBC/EDS certificate issued by the competent authority of Delhi (i.e., D.C., Delhi).
** attested photocopy of mark-sheet of last annual Exam.
** income proof in original of applicant/parent/guardian (in case of salaried class, a certificate from the employer is to be submitted and in case of non-salaried class, an affidavit of applicant/parent/guardian from Ist class Magistrate is required).

Mode of Payment:
i) Maintenance allowance is payble from 1st April or from the month of admission whichever is later, to the month in which the examinations are completed, at the end of the academic year (including maintenance allowance during holidays), provided that if the scholar secures admission after 20th day of a month, the amount will be made from the month following the month of admission.
ii) In case of renewal of scholarships awarded in the previous years, maintenance allowance will be paid from the month following the month upto which scholarship was paid in the previous year, if the course of study is continuous.
iii) The Govt. of the State/U.T. administration, to which they belong in accordance with the procedure laid down by them in this regard, will pay the scholarship money to the selected students.
iv) Scholarship will not be paid for the period of internship/housemanship in the M.B.B.S. course or for a practical training in other course of the student is in receipt of some remuneration during the internship period or some allowances/stipend during the practical training in the course
** The amounts relating to post matric scholarships will be credited directly into the accounts of the students month wise.
** The amounts relating to fee reimbursement will be credited directly into the accounts of the colleges in two installments in a year.
Where to Apply :
The students can apply from their respective colleges, if proper facilities like computer, Internet connectivity, printer etc. are available. Otherwise, they can apply from nearby e-Seva center/ Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC)/Mandal Resource Center located in MPDO’s Office or any Internet kiosk.
