Online Application For Allotment of Houses :
Before Applying, applicants are advised to go through the Instructions given in this website along with the Notification.
Filling in the Online Application Form :
You will see an application form to be filled in with the following details.
** Personal information
** Communication Address
** Bank Account details.
** High quality image of your photograph along with your signature signed legibly in black ball point pen(in .jpeg format) as shown below.
Mandatory :
PDF/JPEG files of supporting documents (Eligibility & Category Certificates) (max file size : per file 0.5 MB; see more details below in section ‘Supporting documents’)
** Fill in all the data in the online application form. Upload the required soft copies of the documents supporting to claiming of reservation, affidavit , photo and signature.
** After filling all the necessary data and uploading of supporting documents. Once saved and successfully submitted an unique Registration Number will be generated which is also mailed to your registered e-mail.
** Once you finally submit the application, no further changes to the application can be made by the applicant.
** The applicant can preview the filled Application and can download the application for his reference.
** You will have to select one of the two payment option e-payment / Manual payment (details given below) after filling the Online Application form.
** Applicants who have selected Online Payment option will follow the instructions given below for Online Netbanking using the Make Payment Section and complete payment process. Those who have selected Manual payment option will directly proceed to the next step.
Those applicants who select “Manual Payment”, have to click on “Download Challan for payment” and take 3 copies of this challan as shown below and make the payment.

Supporting Documents :
Please read the following section carefully to find the supporting documents required. Supporting documents needs to be scanned and uploaded. Please make sure that the max file size permitted per file is 0.5 MB.
For scanning the documents please use the following settings :
** Resolution- 200 dpi
** Color mode- 256 colors (all scanners support this, and gives the minimum size at a given resolution)
** File format- PDF or JPEG
Eligibility Documents to be Uploaded Mandatorily :
** Necessary supporting documents can be found here and uploaded accordingly as per the reservation selected.
** SC/ST Certificate
** Physically Handicapped Certificate
** Senior Citizen Certificate
** Defence/Ex-Servicemen Certificate
** Central/State Govt Employees Certificate
** Afiidavit for not owning any site/house allotted from any Govt Authority.
Payment Options :
Online Netbanking Payment Details :
** After selecting the e-payment option, you will be redirected to the Payment Gateway through which the payment can be processed.
** You will have to login with your bank’s NetBanking (or Internet Banking) user ID and password.
** The fee amount and bank charges will be shown to you, and you have to confirm the payment.
** Once you confirm, you will be redirected back to the KHB Online Application Interface.
** If you have some difficulty (due to internet connection or power failure), and you are not sure if you have made the payment, You can also check the status in your bank or mail to helpline AT karnatakahousing.com.
** In case the fee amount has been debited from your bank account but not reached KHB, then the money will be credited back to your account within five working days.
** In such a case, you may initiate a fresh payment from the KHB Online Interface, even without waiting for the money to be credited back to your account, so that your application is submitted to KHB on time. You may also switch to offline Challan payments if need be.
** The amount can also be transferred through NEFT/RTGS by making use of the form available in the Payment through NEFT/RTGS Option.
Offline Challan Payment Details :
** If you had chosen offline payment while filling in the form, you will be provided with a dropdown for selecting the bank for payment, after selecting the BANK from the dropdown, the challan can be downloaded with your details filled in. You have to download all copies – Bank Copy, Applicant Copy, KHB Allotment Section Copy, KHB Account Section Copy, and also fill in a few more details such as DD/PO and depositor’s signature.
** You may take the challan to any branch of the opted bank i.e Corporation Bank/Axis Bank / IndusInd Bank .
** The bank teller will verify the details printed on the challan with the data available at the bank and then accept the payment.
** The bank will retain 3 copies of the challan and give you back a copy for your reference .

General Rules :
1) The applicant must be an Indian Citizen and above 18 yrs of age as on the date of submission of application. The applicant whose husband/wife or minor children should not own a house or site in any urban/municipal area in Karnataka State.
2) Public desirous of applying shall obtain DD/ Challan drawn in favour of “Housing Commissioner, KHB, Bangalore” towards the costs of the application, Processing fee and Initial Deposit. There is no fee for applying Online except Processing Fee and Initial Deposit.
3) Application, duly filled and complete in all respects shall be submitted to the banks specified in the Notification. Public desirous of applying online may visit www.karnatakahousing.com
4) Acceptance of application is subjected to realization of amount to KHB account.
5) Acceptance of the application with Registration Fee, and Initial Deposit does not entitle or guarantee allotment of house/site/flat.
6) All correspondences with KHB should be with reference to the Notification No, Project Code, Registration No and Name of the Project.
7) Applicant should inform change in address for our records.
8) Applicants shall retain a photocopy of the complete application, payment receipts as a matter of precaution. In case of Online application, applicant can download the Online application at any point of time from the website www.karnatakahousing.com
9) Allotment of house/site/flat is as per KHB Allotment Regulations 1983(with amendments) and other decisions of the board in force from time to time.
10) Processing fee is non refundable. Initial Deposit will be refunded to unsuccessful applicants without interest. After allotment of property, if the allottee rejects the allotment or the allottee fails to deposit the intimated amount in time the Initial Deposit will be refunded without interest after deducting 25% of the Initial Deposit.
11) Central/State/Public Sector employees shall submit a Certificate from their employers. Public applying under SC/ST, Defence/ Ex-servicemen /Senior Citizen shall submit necessary documents for claiming the respective reservations.
12) Applicants shall enclose a notorised affidavit declaring of not owning any property in the name of his/her, husband/wife or minor children should not own a house or site in any urban/municipal area in Karnataka State.
13) The payment of Processing Fee and Initial Deposit shall be compulsorily made using a single challan , duly specifying the Project Code, Notification No, Registration No, Applicant Name – in case of receipt and submission of applications through banks. In case of online application, 4 copies of the challan is automatically generated with all the details of the applicant pre-printed, which needs to be submitted to the bank for payment.
