Altair India Optimisation Contest : AOC2014
Altair India announces the 3rd edition of its popular Optimisation Contest (AOC2014 – India). This program is meant for students (UG / PG / Ph.D) of Mechanical, Automobile, Aerospace, Civil & Production Engineering.
We are also pleased to welcome our Industry Partners in this year’s contest – viz.
Whirlpool India, TVS Motors, Ashok Leyland & Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions Limited.
The objective of the AOC2014 – India will be for students to offer solutions to a combination of :
** Defined Optimisation contest problems using Altair’s industry leading optimisation solution “OptiStruct”
** Their own defined problems analysed / optimised using Altair’s HyperWorks
All completed entries will be judged by Panel of CAE experts from our Industry Partners at Altair India.
Contest Awards from Altair India :
1st Prize : 1 award – Tablet PC: 1 award or equivalent Voucher + Certificate of Recognition + opportunity to undertake a 2 months off-site internship with Altair India
2nd Prize : 2 awards – Mp3 Player: 2 awards or equivalent Voucher + Certification of Recognition + opportunity to undertake a 2 months off-site internship with Altair India
All complete submissions submitted by due date will get a Certificate of Participation.
Contest Schedule :
Announcement of Program & Registration by Students : Registration Starts on 05 September 2013 – Last date for Student Registration 30 November, 2013
Upon Registration and Screening Altair will grant access to 1 license of Altair HyperWorks Student Edition License to the eligible Student for FREE : 10 September, 2013 to 05 December, 2013
Self-Training & Learning of Altair HyperWorks CAE Solution : Post license download + install
Online Training : Details will be announced by 01 October 2013
Contest Scope Definition :01 January 2014. Will be available under “Model Downloads” link. Login / password will be provided on completion of Step 3
Student Project Creation Phase : 05 January, 2014 to 05 March, 2014
Results, Models and Report Submission Deadline : 06 March 2014 onwards – Last date of submission is 05 April, 2014
Announcement of Results : 01 June, 2014
Awards Presentation : ATC2014 (Altair India Technology Conference) Date & Venue to be announced!
