1. Online NRE /NRO Savings Bank Account Application process in brief :
** It is fast, convenient and secure.
** Please fill and submit the required details online.
** Print the Account Opening Application on A4 size white papers.
** Enclose the required documents after due attestation, such as photographs and proof of identity and address, as mentioned in the Account Opening Application.
** This online process will generate NCRN (NRI Customer Reference Number) and NARN (NRI Account Reference Number) for future references. These will be sent on the email address provided, which may please be noted.

3. Information That You Will Need to Provide :
For opening an NRE / NRO Savings Bank account, you need to provide the following information :
** Personal information for KYC (Know Your Customer) information.

** Form DA-1 (optional but recommended), if you wish to make a nomination.

4. Documents That You Will Need to Provide :
For each person who wishes to open the account, you will need to provide :
** Signed and attested Account Opening Application.
** Attested KYC documents as mentioned in the Account Opening Application.
** 2 recent passport size colored photographs. Please affix one photograph on the Photograph (s) section of Account Opening Application. Please enclose other photograph while sending the application to the Bank by post/courier, which will be affixed in your Passbook by the Bank.

5. Step-by-Step Account Opening Process :
Step 1 : Fill the Customer Information Section
** This section will have to be filled for each person wishing to open an account.
** You must fill Personal Details page first. Once you fill this page and save the form, a NRI Customer Reference Number (NCRN) will be generated, which may please be noted. You will need it later to edit the form, if you desire, and to link the Customer Details in Account Information section in subsequent steps.
** Please fill Additional Details page after filling Personal Details page.
** An email with the NCRN and further process will be sent to the email address provided by you.

Step 2 : Fill the Account Information Section
** Please fill Type of Account page first and enter your NCRN (s) to link your Customer Information Section.
** Once you fill this page and save the form, a NRI Account Reference Number (NARN) will be generated, which may please be noted.
** Please fill Verification page after filling Type of Account page.
** An email with the NARN and further process will be sent to the email address provided by the first applicant.

Step 3 :
Download the Account Opening Application by clicking on Print Account Opening Application.

Step 4 :
Please affix passport size photograph (s) of first and second applicant (if any) in the photograph(s) section of Account Opening Form – Part II page. Also, please enclose one more photograph in the envelope while sending account opening application to the Bank.

Step 5 : Please affix your signatures at following places in the Account Opening Application:
** In the Nomination or Form DA-1 (Nomination Form) on page 2 as per Nomination requirement.
** In the box provided under Marketing Offers section on page 3 (Account Opening Form : Part I). If it is a joint account application, then please affix signatures of second applicant on page 4 (Account Opening Form: Part I).
** In Specimen Signature(s) section on page 4 (Account Opening Form : Part II), if it’s a single applicant application or on page 5 (Account Opening Form: Part II) if it is a joint applicant application.
** In Declarations Cum Undertakings section on page 5, if it’s a single applicant application or on page 6 if it is a joint applicant application.

Step 6 : Please get your Account Opening Application and documents for KYC attested (only for applicants which are not visiting the Branch in India for opening account in person):
** Please tick the appropriate box in “All the documents are duly attested by (Only for non face to face customers)” section on page 3 (Account Opening Form : Part I) and on page 4 (Account Opening Form: Part I), if it is a joint account application.
** Please tick the appropriate box in “Verification of Signature with Rubber Stamp and Seal & Address (Only for non face to face customers)” section on page 5, if it’s a single applicant application or on page 6, if it is a joint applicant application. Please also ensure that details and signature of attesting authority along with their rubber stamp are also obtained in the respective space provided in this section.

Step 7 :
Please post / courier your Account Opening Application along with KYC documents to the postal address mentioned in the email sent by us to you.

Please Note :
Account Opening Application and documents without due attestation from the acceptable authority will not be processed.
