Nirmaan 2K14 :
Started as a sole initiative of Mechanical engineering department, Nirmaan brought forth in 2013 amazing talent and team participation, beyond the imagination.

The combined inspiration of students and teachers brought forth many astounding projects right from inception to design to materials, assembly and final working model. Nirmaan gave students the environment to think actively and present their thoughts not only by words but also by action.

Innovation Beyond Imagination. The mantra of Nirmaan came to life in 2013. With that inspiration we again look forward to Nirmaan 2014, on 3rd & 4th April . With great thrill we invite you for your innovative participation to make this forthcoming Nirmaan even beyond imagination. This time not just for a day but for two full days of immersive innovation.

Nirmaan 2013 brought to us models like thermal power plant, wire robotic arm with wireless camera, Sagar bridge, Compressed Air vehicle, fire resistance, Rice flask stove, year round cooler, maglev train, Patakha popcorn, Automatic Train barrier and many more….

The winners of Nirmaan 2k13 were from SISTec, The title of their working model was “Thermal Power Plant” which has won a cash prize of Rs 25,000/-. The winners of second prize were the students of LNCT who developed a working model entitled “Wire robotic Arm with Wireless camera” cash prize of Rs 15,000/-.

Rules and Regulation :
** Entries would be on first come basis.
** Students from any branch can participate in the competition.
** No restriction for number of entries per college.
** The projects submitted must be original and recent works. The project must be certified by college authorities.

** Selection of best three Projects shall be based on innovative ideas and working model of the project.
** Models should be made by groups of students. Maximum students in a group may be FIVE (5).
** You can register on or before 3rd April 2014 till 9 am for the competition. You have to state the status of model on 3rd April 2014 to coordinator in the following mail ID: smea@sistec.ac.in

** Participant must carry I-Card of College.
** The electrical supply will be provided. Any special requirement should be conveyed to the Convenor in due time and fulfilment will solely depend on Convenor.
** Along with the model, each group will be required to prepare a brief report on the idea behind the model and the process of making the model, engineering principles and innovations in the model in 500-1000 words on 31st March to coordinator through above mentioned mail ID smea@sistec.ac.in

** Models should be working models or in other words must be action- based. Models may be physical or virtual or combination of two.
** Before making the models, please find out the name of the mentor who will be guiding the process of model-making.
** It is essential to discuss the plan and idea of the model in detail with the mentor before taking any steps for making the model. Certificate will be given to all participants.
** Prize distribution will be on 4th April 2014.
