Ph. D. Fellowships (2014-15) :
SNDT Women’s University, under its SUUTI project, plans to offer 6 fellowships for the Ph. D. scholars who are registered in the Post Graduate Departments of SNDT Women’s University. The fellowship amount will be Rs. 10000/- per month for three years or till submission of synopsis, whichever is earlier. The recipient of the fellowship will be expected to work full time in the respective department for the period of fellowship. She will be teaching one course (4 hours in a week) per semester and doing any other academic work assigned by the HOD not more than 8 hrs per week (including teaching).
The scholar should be registered during the period January 2013 to January 2014. (Scholar registered before December 2012 will not be considered for these fellowships). She will be required to submit her thesis at the end of 3 years from the date of Registration.
Last date for submission of duly filled in application form along with required documents to the Director BCUD is April 30, 2014. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in the second week of May. Selected candidates should join the department on June 9, 2014.
Please attach photocopies of following (duly attested) documents :
a. Marksheets and Certificates of Master Degree examination/M.Phil Examination
b. Experience certificate (if has work experience)
c. Ph. D. Registration letter issued by the Department (BCUD?)
d. Fee receipts
Please send your application form latest by April 30, 2014 to the Deputy Registrar Academic Section, BCUD, SDTWU, Mumbai 400020.
Ph.D. Guidelines for students :
Re-registration :
** The scholar ceases to be a Ph.D. scholar, if she is not granted approval for extension by the RRC/VC or is unable to submit the Ph.D. thesis within the specified time period.
** Re-registration may be allowed only once with or without break.
** Scholars who re-register with a break of 3 years or more will be required to do the prescribed coursework.
Cancellation of Registration :
The HOD will forward the case of a scholar for cancellation of registration to RRC through the Director, BCUD.
If the scholar fails to clear written test (of Research methodology course) in two attempts.
If the scholar fails to complete course work of all 3 courses within 4 semesters
If the scholar fails to submit progress reports for two consecutive terms.
If two consecutive progress reports are not satisfactory.
