1) Name of the post : Assistant Professor in Sociology (contract basis)

Eligibility:
(i) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record.
(ii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. However, candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET.
Desirable :
(a) A Degree/ Diploma in distance education.
(b) Working experience in Distance Education Programme as Counsellor, Course Writer, Editor, etc.
(c) Any Research Experience related to Distance Education.
(d) Knowledge of Computer.
Salary : Rs. 15,000/- per month

2) Name of the post : Office Assistant (on contract basis)

Qualification : Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with Diploma in Computer Application or equivalent from University/ Govt. organized Society/ BCA/B.Sc.IT/ PGDCA.
Desirable :
i) having proficiency in Front Office Management for handling the Reception Counter of DDE, D.U.
ii) Having fluency in speaking English, Hindi and Assamese language
Salary: Rs.8,000/- per month (consolidated)

Fee : Demand draft of Rs.200/- (for Sl.No.1) and Rs. 100/- (for Sl.No.2) in favour of ‘The Registrar, D.U.’ and payable at “SBI, Dibrugarh University Branch (Code:2051).
