Applications are invited from the eligible candidates having requisite qualification and experience for the following posts

PROFESSOR : One each in Medical Gastroenterology and Medical Oncology
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR : One each in Surgical Gastroenterology and Medical Oncology
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR : One each in Medical Gastroenterology, Medical Oncology and Emergency Medicine

I. For Super Specialities :
1.Name of the post : PROFESSOR
Upper Age Limit : 55 years
Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000+ Academic Grade Pay Rs.10500/- Pay – Rs.51600/- (as per VI Central PRC)
Educational Qualification :
(i) A Medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the IMC Act. Persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act.
(ii) M.D/M.S or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
(iii) D.M/M.Ch or equivalent qualification in the specialty concerned recognized by MCI.
Experience & Publications :
a. As Reader / Associate Professor in the speciality concerned for three years in a recognized teaching institution.
b. Minimum of four research publications in journals indexed in Index Medicus / National Journal and one in International Journal. Provided that these research publication are published / accepted for publication in journals by the National Association / Societies of the respective specialities as the first author. Further, provided that the requirement of four research publications for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on cumulative basis with minimum of two research publications must be published during the tenure of Associate Professor.

2.Name of the post : ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Upper Age Limit : 50 yrs
Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000+ Academic Grade Pay -Rs.9000/- Pay – Rs.42,800/- (as per VI Central PRC)
Educational Qualification : Same as prescribed for the Post of Professor
Experience & Publications :
a. As Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the speciality concerned for two years in a recognized teaching institution.
b. Minimum of two research publications in journals indexed in Index Medicus / National Journal. Provided that these research publication are published / accepted for publication in journals by the National Association / Societies of the respective specialities as the first author. Further, provided that the requirement of two research publications for appointment to the post of Associate Professor must be published during the tenure of Assistant Professor.

3.Name of the post : ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Upper Age Limit : 40 yrs
Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.8000/- Pay – Rs.30,000/-(as per VI Central PRC)
Educational Qualification : Same as mentioned for the post of Professor
Experience : Three years teaching experience as Resident / Registrar (Clinical)/Demonstrator/Tutor in the specialty concerned in a recognized teaching institution.

II. For Broad Specialities :
1. Name of the post : ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Upper Age Limit : 40 yrs
Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.6600/- Pay–Rs.18,750/-(as per VI Central PRC)
Educational Qualification :
a. A Medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third scheme to the IMC Act. Persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act
b. M.D/M.S or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience : Three years teaching experience as Resident / Registrar (Clinical) / Demonstrator / Tutor in the specialty concerned in a recognized teaching institution.
