Essential Qualifications & Experience : A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule of Part II of third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956. Persons Possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of the section 13 of the Act, (aforesaid). A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D./M.S. or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Candidate should have completed total 14 years, 10 years, 06 years and 03 years of teaching and/or research experience after prescribed post-graduation at a recognized teaching Institution for Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, respectively as on last date of submission of application OR 12 years, 08 years, 04 years and 01 year of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of DM/MCh. (2 Years duration) in the concerned specialty at a recognized teaching Institution for the post of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor respectively as on last date of submission of application OR 11 year, 07 year, 03 year, 0 (nil) teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of D.M/MCh. (3 years duration) in the respective specialty at a recognized teaching Institution for the post of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor respectively as on last date of submission of application. In subjects where Post-Postgraduate qualification is not yet prescribed by MCI, three years post M.D/M.S experience in concerned specialty as Senior Resident at a Institute recognized by MCI for the purpose will be accepted in lieu of such qualification for the post of Assistant Professor. Prescribed duration of experience will be determined as per Institute rules.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
For Assistant/Associate/Additional Professor Live transplant Unit (Surgical Gastro) For Assistant Professor: Candidate should possess M.S (Surgery)/DNB (Gen. Surgery) with 03 years experience in Surgical Gastroenterology/Hepatobiliary Surgery out of which atleast 06 months experience in a Liver Transplant Unit OR M.Ch. Surgical Gastroenterology (03 years course) with atleast 06 month experience in a liver Transplantation Unit OR MS (Surgery) with fellowship in multi organ transplantation/live transplantation with at least 03 year post MS Teaching & Research experience. For Associate Professor the candidate should possess above qualification with six years recognized teaching experience out of which atleast one year in liver transplant teaching and training experience. For Additional Professor the candidate should possess above qualifications with ten years recognized teaching and training experience out of which atleast 02 years experience in a Liver Transplant unit.

For Associate/Assistant Professor of Hematology: For Clinical Hematology/BMT the candidate should possess a recognized Post Graduate Degree of M.D (Medicine/Pediatrics/Pathology) or DM (Clinical Hematology) or an equivalent qualification with three years post graduate teaching and Research experience as mentioned above and proven publication record in high impact Journals. The candidate must have clinical experience in performing bone-marrow transplantation independently. For Lab Hematology the candidate should possess a recognized post graduate degree of MD (Pathology) or DM (Hemato-Pathology) or an equivalent qualification with recognized post graduate teaching and Research experience as mentioned above.

For Assistant Professor Immunology (Medical): The person will have medical postgraduate degree in Medicine/Peadiatrics with DM in Clinical Immunology. It is desirable that the candidate is committed to work in the field of autoimmune rheumatic diseases.

Nephrology : Candidate with DM in Nephrology and proven experience in pediatric Nephrology shall be preferred.

For Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Hospital Administration : The candidate should have MD (Hospital Administration)/MD(Community Health Administration)/MD(Health Administration) with 03 years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college/institution as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor for Assistant Professor and 06 years teaching experience for Associate Professor in recognized Institute.

Molecular Medicine & Biotechnology : The candidate should have Ph.D. qualification in medical or allied specialties or a recognized qualification equivalent there to and have completed 14 year teaching and/or research experience after Ph.D. qualification. Publication record should show strong inputs of candidate indicating strength in Molecular Biology & Transplant research towards clinical medicine.

For Assistant Professor (Ophthalmology): The candidate should have MD/MS in Ophthalmology with three years teaching experience in Ophthalmology in a recognized teaching Institute. Person with proven experience in vitreo-retinal subspecialty shall be preferred.

Surgical Endocrinology : Person having proven experience in Minimal Access and Robotic Endocrine Surgery and Breast Health Programme shall be preferred.

Pay-Scales:
Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 with academic grade pay of Rs. 8000, PB-03;
Associate Professor- 37400-67000 with academic grade pay of Rs. 9000 PB-04;
Additional Professor- 37400-67000 with academic grade pay of Rs. 9500 PB-04 &
Professor- Rs. 37400-67000 with academic grade pay of Rs. 10,500 PB-04 Plus NPA and other allowances as per Institute rules. New pension scheme of the Govt. will be applicable.

Upper Age Limit: 50 Years as on last date of submission of application.

Fee : Rs. 1000/- for applicants within the country and US$100.00 or equivalent foreign currency for overseas candidates in favour of Director, SGPGIMS, Lucknow Academic Account, payable at State Bank of India (Code No. 7789) SGPGIMS, Lucknow India.
