01 Name of the post : Assistant Professor
Qualification/Experience:
Engineering & Technology : B.E.,/B.Tech., and M.E., / M.Tech., in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent either in B.E.,/B.Tech., or M.E., / M.Tech.
Respective Discipline :
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted subject to the conditions stipulated above.
(iv) Candidates who have Ph.D. are exempted from passing NET/SLET/other similar tests accredited by the UGC.

02 Name of the post : Associate Professor
Qualification/Experience:
i) Qualification as above that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline.
ii) Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
Experience :
i) Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching and / or research and / or industry of which at least 2 years shall be post Ph.D., is desirable.
ii) In case of Architecture, Professional Practice of 5 years as certified by the Council of Architecture shall also be considered valid.
Pay Band:Rs. 37400-67000 + AGP of Rs. 9000

03 Name of the post : Professor
Qualification/Experience:
i) Qualifications as above that are for the post of Associate Professor, as applicable.
ii) Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
Experience :
i) Minimum of 10 years teaching and / or research and / or industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. OR Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and or Research and / or Industry.
ii) In case of research experience, good academic record and books / research paper publications / IPR / patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members in Selection Committee.
iii) If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising / designing, planning, executing , analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / IPR / Patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members in Selection Committee. In case of Architecture, Professional Practice of 10 years as certified by the Council of Architecture shall also be considered valid

04 Name of the post : Principal
Qualification/Experience:
Qualification as above that is for the post of Professor, as applicable
Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable
Experience :
i) Minimum of 10 years teaching and / or research and / or industrial experience of which at leas t5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and / or Industry.
ii) In case of research experience, good academic record and books, research paper publications / IPR / patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members in Selection committee.
iii) If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Professor with active participation record in devising / designing, developing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / IPR / patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members in Selection Committee. Flair for Management and Leadership is essential.
iv) In case of Architecture, Professional Practice of 10 years as certified by the Council of Architecture shall also be considered valid.

05 Name of the post : Programmer
Qualification/Experience: B.E.,/B.Tech., and M.E., / M.Tech., in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent either in B.E.,/B.Tech., or M.E., / M.Tech.
Pay Band:Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP of Rs. 6000

06 Name of the post : Physical Education Director
Qualification/Experience:
i) A Ph.D. in Physical Education. Candidates from outside the university system, in addition, shall also possess at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level by the University concerned.
ii) Eight years experience as University Assistant DPES/College DPES, with a benefit of two years and one year for Ph.D. and M.Phil. Degree holders.
iii) Evidence of organizing competitions and conducting coaching camps of at least two weeks duration.
iv) Evidence of having produced good performance teams/athletes for competitions like state / national / inter-university / combined university, etc.
v) Passed the physical fitness test in accordance with these Regulations .
vi) Consistently good appraisal reports.

07 Name of the post : Librarian
Qualification/Experience:
1. Qualified in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
2. Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent CGPA and consistently good academic record. Computerization of Library.
3. Candidates who have Ph.D. are exempted from passing NET/SLET/other similar test accredited by the UGC.
4. Minimum 6 years experience as Librarian/Asst. Librarian in colleges.
Pay Band:Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP of Rs. 8000

08 Name of the post : Assistant Librarian
Qualification/Experience:
1. Qualified in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
2.Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professionaldegree with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent CGPA and consistently good academic record. Computerization of Library.
3. Candidates who have Ph.D. are exempted from passing NET/SLET/other similar test accredited by the UGC.

09 Name of the post : System Analyst
Qualification/Experience: B.E.,/B.Tech., and M.E., / M.Tech., in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent either in B.E.,/B.Tech., or M.E., / M.Tech. with 5 years experience in programming and system development.
Pay Band:Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP of Rs. 8000

Fee : Demand Draft, obtained of any Nationalized Bank, for Rs. 1,000/-(for SC/ST/Cat-I Rs. 500/- only) towards processing fee in favour of Finance Officer, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
