NCSM, an autonomous scientific organization under Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following posts:

1. Lower Division Clerk – 01 post (Reserved for OBC)
(Pay Band : Rs. 5200-20200/- (PB-1), Grade Pay – Rs.1900/-)
Total emoluments at starting Rs.18,146/- per month approx. at Kolkata includes allowances such as DA/HRA/Transport Allowance as applicable under the rules of NCSM.
Essential Qualification : i) 12th Class pass or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University with typing speed @ 35 w.p.m. in English or @ 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer corresponds to 10,500/9,000 KDPH respectively.
Age : Not more than 33 years as on 25.03.2014.
Job description : Typing; preparation and processing of bills; making entries in various registers, ledgers etc. and upkeep thereof; handling purchase and stores; compilation of facts and figures for reports, statements etc.; cash handling and cheque writing whenever required ; any other work entrusted by superiors from time to time.

2. Junior Stenographer – 01 post (Unreserved)
(Pay Band : Rs.5200-20200/- (PB – 1), Grade Pay – Rs.2400/-)
Total emoluments at starting Rs.24,842/- per month approx. at Kolkata includes allowances such as DA/HRA/Transport Allowance as applicable under the rules of NCSM.
Essential Qualification : i) 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University with speed @ 80 w.p.m. in English Shorthand and typing speed @ 40 w.p.m. in English (40 w.p.m. corresponds to 12,000 KDPH on computer). Stenography transcription in 50 minutes in English on Computer. One year experience is desirable.
Age : Not more than 30 years as on 25.03.2014.
Job description : Stenographic service; typing ; maintenance of files, ledgers, records etc; photocopying; sending/receiving e-mails/fax messages ; attend to telephone calls and any other work assigned by superiors from time to time.

General terms and conditions :
Skill tests for both LDC and Jr. Stenographer shall be conducted only on Computer. The posts carry all India transfer liability. Candidates working in Government/Semi-Govt/Autonomous organizations should send their application through proper channel. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. Mere possession of requisite qualifications and experience shall not entitle the candidates to be called for the test and interview.

Application not accompanied with relevant certificates and testimonials shall be summarily rejected. Decision of the Council in this regard shall be final. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as disqualification for the posts.
