Young Lions Competition :
YOUNG LIONS MARKETERS COMPETITION 2014 :
Theme: “A premium brand enters a traditional Indian category of hair oil but Indians are not willing to pay the premium. What Ad strategy should they use?”
Eligibility:
1. Teams will be made up of two young marketers from a client organisation aged 30 years or under (born on or after 21 June 1983).
2. You must have a valid passport not expiring before 31st December 2014.
3. You must be fluent in English.
4. Whilst for the Indian competition you can present using any audio-video visual aids of your choice, for the international competition in Cannes you would be required to present using Apple Keynote Software.
Entry Fee : There is no entry fee.
Subject & Approach:
The theme for the competition is ‘A premium brand enters a traditional Indian category of hair oil but Indians are not willing to pay the premium. What Ad strategy should they use?’
Entrants are required to produce a 1000 word communication brief to a mock creative agency. In this competition, a select jury of creatives and strategists will represent the agency, who will judge how well your brief is written for them to be able to effectively build the campaign creative.
Entrants are judged on:
** Clarity of what they are asking the agency to create
** Quality of information and level of knowledge provided about the audience / target market demographic
** Quality of information provided about the product offering and overall aim of the specific campaign
** Realism of the proposed budget
D. Submission of Entries & Selection Process:
Participants need to send-in their brief (maximum 1000 word) on the above theme by email to aaai@vsnl.com by 6:00 p.m. on 7th March 2014.
The shortlisted teams should produce the ideas in front of a jury on a 10 slide PowerPoint presentation in 5 minutes followed by a question and answer session, the exact date of which will be informed to the shortlisted participants.
Cost of traveling to Mumbai should be borne by the shortlisted participants themselves. The jury will consist of CEOs of leading media agencies.
The decision of the jury is final and binding.
Others: Participants should undertake responsibility to get the relevant visas to travel to France.
