Scheme : 1
Benefits offered :
** Ensuring remunerative and competitive price to the farmers who market their farm produce through Regulated Markets.
** Assuring correct weighment and immediate cash payment to the farmers.
** Storage godown and drying yard facility.

Eligibility :
All farmers, who market their farm produce in Regulated Markets.

Superintendent /Supervisor of Regulated Market.

Time limit for Sanction / rejection :
On the same day of declaration of price.

The Secretary, Market Committee.

Scheme : 2
Benefits offered
** Farmers can avail pledge loan to avoid distress sale during glut seasons by storing their farm produce in the godowns of Regulated Markets for a maximum period of 6 months.
** Helps the farmers to meet out their immediate money requirement and for the preparatory activity to the next cropping season.
** Small and marginal farmers can avail pledge loan upto 75% of the value of the produce and other farmers can avail 50% of the value of produce or upto the maximum of ` 2.00 lakh.
** No interest for first 15 days of loan period.
** Interest at the rate of 5% will be charged beyond 15 days.

Eligibility
All farmers, who market their farm produce in Regulated Markets.

Superintendent /Supervisor of Regulated Market.

Time limit for Sanction / rejection :
One week.

Scheme 3 :
Benefits offered :
** Pledge loan is provided to traders in all Regulated Markets to buy agricultural produce through Regulated Markets and make payment to the farmers immediately.
** 50% of the purchase value of the produce or upto the maximum of ` 1.00 lakh is given to the licensed traders as pledge loan at 9% rate of interest.
** Traders can stock their purchased agricultural produce in the regulated markets for a maximum period of 3 months.

Eligibility :
Licensed traders who are trading in Regulated Markets.

Superintendent / Supervisor of Regulated Market

Time limit for Sanction / rejection :
One week.

Scheme 4 :
Benefits offered :
** Farmers get better price for their produce by direct marketing to consumers without middle men.
** Free shop allotment and weighing balance facility to farmers on first come first served basis.
** Consumers get fresh fruits and vegetables at a lesser price than in the open market.

Fruits and vegetable growers with Identity card issued by
the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Agri
Business.

Scheme 5 :
Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Development and Welfare Scheme

Benefits offered :
** Grant upto the maximum of ` 1.00 lakh to farmers or tenants in case of death / disability due to accident.
** ` 75,000/- for loss of both the hands/legs/eyes due to accident.
** ` 50,000/- for loss of one hand/leg/eye/ permanent hip disability due to accident. Farmers need not pay any premium for this grant.
** The Market Committee concerned and Tamil Nadu State Agricultural Marketing Board contribute ` 10/- per individual per year equally as premium.

Eligibility :
All farmers who market their agricultural produce of one MT or more in a financial year through Regulated markets.

Time limit for Sanction /rejection :
The claim proposal should be submitted to Tamil Nadu State Agricultural Marketing Board, Chennai within 3 months of the accident/death.

Scheme 6 :
Name of the Scheme : Agmark grading

Benefits offered :
** Quality and unadulterated food stuff to the Consumers.
** Agmark grading is done for centralized and decentralized commodities.
** “Agmark symbol“ guarantees quality and correct weight of food products of the packers.

Eligibility :
Packers holding Agmark license

Officer to be approached :
Agricultural Officer (Agmark Laboratory).

Time limit for Sanction /rejection :15 days.

Scheme 7 :
Name of the Scheme :
Tamil Nadu-Irrigated Agriculture Modernization and Water Bodies Restoration and Management

Benefits offered :
** Providing market infrastructure facilities to sub-basin farmers viz., drying yards, storage sheds, Agri Business Centers and Collection centers.
** Providing post harvest related equipment facilities to sub-basin farmers viz. moisture meters, weighing scales, tarpaulin, dunnage, plastic crates.
** Logistic support to markets through Goods auto, mini lorry.
** Promoting commodity group formation and Market linkage.

Eligibility :
Membership in Water User Association / commodity
group of concerned sub-basin.

Benefits : Offered Financial assistance:
25% of the cost of plant and machinery and technical civil works subject to a maximum of ` 50.00 lakh.

Eligibility :
All implementing agencies / Govt organizations / PSUs / Joint Sector / NGOs / Cooperatives /Private Sector / individuals engaged in setting up / expansion / modernization of food processing units.

Scheme for Human Resource Development (HRD) :
a) Creation of Infrastructure facilities for Running Degree / Diploma / Certificate Courses in food Processing technology.

Benefits offered Financial assistance :
Maximum eligible amount of ` 75.00 lakh for creation of infrastructure like technical/academic books etc.,

Eligibility :
All recognized Universities / Institutions /Colleges, whether in Govt. Sector or in private sector.
Duly recognized B. Tech / M. Tech Degree in Food Technology or Food
Science / 3years B.Sc. / 2 years M Sc. Food Technology or Food
Processing or Food Science / 1 year post graduate diploma or 1 year
Diploma course in Food Technology / Food Processing/ Food Science.

b) Organizing Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP) :
Financial assistance : Upto ` 2.00 lakh per Entrepreneur Development Programme.

Eligibility :
1. Central/State Govt./organizations, R&D Institutes, Universities.
2. National level Institute like EDII, Ahmadabad etc.
3. Professional Institutes for Entrepreneurship Development.
4. State Level Consultancy Organizations formed by State Govt. / financial institutions.
5. Industry Organizations/ Associations
6. Reputed Non Government Organizations with professional competency & experience in Organizing EDPs.

c) Setting up of Food Processing Training Centre (FPTC) :
Financial assistance :
Single Product Line Centre : (for any one group of processing activities) Upto ` 4.00 Lakh for fixed capital costs and ` 2.00 lakh as revolving seed capital.

Multi Product Line Centre :
( for more than one group of processing activities) Upto ` 11.00 lakh for fixed capital costs and ` 4.00 lakh as revolving seed capital.

Eligibility :
Central or State Government Organizations, Educational & Training Institutions, Schools and Colleges, ITIs, NGOs, Co-operatives.

a) Organizing Seminar/Workshops :
Benefits offered Financial assistance : 50% of the cost. Subject to a maximum of ` 3.00 Lakh.

Government/ Academic bodies, Industries’ Association /NGOs, Co-operatives.

b) Conducting Studies/ Surveys :
Financial assistance :
50% of the cost. Subject to a maximum of ` 3.00 Lakh.

Eligibility :
Government/Academic bodies, Industries’ Association ,NGOs, Co-operatives, State/ District Level Industry Associations, private bodies and NGOs ,National Level Industries Associations

c) Support to Exhibition/Fairs :
Financial assistance :
The quantum of assistance depends on the merits of proposal.

Eligibility :
The State / UTS on its own or in close association with APEDA, CFTRI, industry association, NGOs and other private agencies, Government/ academic bodies, National Level Industries Associations like FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, PHD chamber of Commerce and AIFPA.

Name of the Scheme : Tamil Nadu Small Farmers Agri-business Consortium (TNSFAC)

Benefits offered :
1. Assisting entrepreneurs to make investments in setting up agribusiness projects through venture capital assistance.

Quantum of Venture Capital Assistance would be :
** 10% of the total project cost assessed by lending Banks
(or)
** 26% of the project equity (or)
** `75.00 lakh whichever is less.

2. Encouraging producer group/organizations to establish suitable agro-based projects by assisting them in evolving commercially viable projects under Project Development Facility with a ceiling of ` 5.00 lakh.

Eligibility :
Farmers, Producer groups, Agri. Entrepreneurs, Units in Agri Export Zone, Organizations and Agricultural Graduates.
