Scholarships to Young Artistes in Different Cultural Fields 2014 :
Ministry of Culture operates the Scheme for Award of Scholarships to Young Artistes in Different Cultural Fields to support advanced training, within India, to young artistes of outstanding promise in the fields of Indian Classical Music, Indian Classical Dances, Light Classical Music, Theatre, Visual Arts and Folk, Traditional and Indigenous Arts. Under this scheme, 400 Scholarships are awarded every year to young artistes who have already undergone a minimum of 5 years of training with their Guru/Institute.
Online applications are invited from eligible young artistes in the age group of 18 to 25 years (as on 1st April, 2013) for the award of Scholarships for the year 2013-14. Details of the Scheme, Instructions for Applicants and the Application Module are available on the website of the Ministry

Instructions to be followed for online application :
1. Candidate Who Has Already Availed Scholarship In Any Field Under This Scheme Can Not Apply Again.
2. After selection under this Scheme, no request for change of Guru/Institute shall be entertained save for exceptional circumstances.
3. If a candidate who is awarded Scholarship is found ineligible for it at any later stage, the Scholarship so awarded to him/her will be liable to be cancelled.
4. The names of the candidates selected under this Scheme will also be available on the website of this Ministry after the selection process is completed.
5. Date, Time and Venue of Interview will be available on the website of the Ministry www.indiaculture.nic.in (Candidate must provide correct and accessible e-mail address so that he/she may be informed of the interview dates).
6. Application submitted by the candidate can be viewed for confirmation whether the same has been registered successfully.
Instructions regarding Documents to be produced at the time of interview :
1. A copy of the online application form, with candidate’s photo and signature at the specified space.
2. An attested copy of birth-certificate (School leaving certificate, etc).
3. Certificate from the present Guru / Institute in the format given at Part ‘C’.
4. Bank account details of the applicant, duly attested by the Branch Manager of the Bank, in the format given at Part ‘D’ this form is Mandatory.[ Bank Authorization Letter]
5. In case of Visual Arts, Six photographs (Post-card size) of your recent works should be submitted.
6. Candidates applying in the field of Visual Arts in all the sub fields except Sculpture should have minimum qualification of Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent. An attested copy of the Degree of BFA or equivalent is to be submitted. In Sculpture no minimum qualification is prescribed.
7. Original Certificate/testimonials stated at 2,3&6 above are to be produced at the time of interview.
Note :
1. Candidates must quote the Enrolment Number correctly for all future references
2. It is mandatory to submit all documents mentioned above at the time of interview. If the candidate fails to submit any of these documents, he/she will become ineligible for the interview or performance test.
3. Any correction/cutting/overwriting in the Certificate of Guru/Institute will make the applicant ineligible for Scholarship.
4. If the information furnished by the applicant is found to be forged/false it will make him/her ineligible for reimbursement of train fare and he/she would be barred from making any future applications for Scholarship, Fellowship or for any grant from the Ministry. applications for Scholarship, Fellowship or for any grant from the Ministry.

1. ‘Java Script’ Should be enabled on your Browser.
2. only a-z or A-Z or 0-9 or , or . or AT or _ and space are allowed. Special Characters not to be used.
3. Don’t use copy-paste. Please type your data from key board in the appropriate box.
4. Please don’t fill numeric character in District field. Example- If your district is ” NORTH 24 PARGANAS ” please fill it as ” North Twenty Four Parganas”
5. Further communication for interview will be intimated by Email only.
