Online payment of Commercial Taxes through the State Bank of India:
The scheme allows you to pay Commercial Taxes online without physically visiting the authorised branch of a Nationalised Bank and standing in queues for making the payment. This facility is available ANYTIME and ANYWHERE through the Internet.

This arrangement has initially been made with the State Bank of India

Who can pay?
Any dealer registered under the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, West Bengal Sales Tax Act, 1994 and Central Sales Tax act, 1956 and having registrations under the above Acts and any person having a certificate of registration and/or enrolment under the Profession Tax Act, 1979 can pay taxes online. The dealer has to have an internet banking facility with the S.B.I. to enjoy the facility.

How to pay?
For making payment of the taxes online,
1. Logon to www.onlinesbi.com and provide your user ID and password.
2. Click the ‘West Bengal Tax’ link under the ‘Payments/Transfers’ tab.
3. Select the applicable ‘Head of Account’ and fill the form displayed for making the payment.
4. Select the account from which you wish to pay tax.
5. You are displayed a confirmation page if the transaction is successful. You are also provided with a link to print the e-challan for this payment. This serves as your challan evidencing payment of tax etc. Sign on the copy of the Receipt, put your rubber stamp and submit the same where applicable.
6. You can also generate e-challan subsequently from ‘status enquiry’ link under ‘enquiries’ tab of onlinesbi.com.
