ICAC Art Contest 2014 :
We are very glad to invite you to participate in our forthcoming Art Contest 2014.

The details of which are as follows :
Prizes:
Rs. 21000/- 1st prize
Rs. 11000/- 2nd prize
Rs. 7100/- 3rd prize

There are also 34 other work specific and media specific awards.
** The winning artists will be promoted by the Gallery for one year. The art center will hold a Group show of all the prize winners, in Mumbai.
** You are also requested to kindly submit your complete personal details along with the Art works along with your recent passport size photograph.
** Each participating artist will be given a certificate of appreciation and participation.
** Minimum – 11” x 11”. Maximum – 48” x 48” including frame size in case of painting, drawing and graphic. Sculpture in 24”x24”x48” height & should not occupy more than 16 cubic Feet in volume and should not exceed more than 50 kgs. in weight.
** The Artist can submit their art works either on paper or canvas or any other Media and can use Water Colour, Poster Colour, Dry or Oil Pastels or Acrylic or Oil Paints or Charcoal or any other media that suits, keeping in mind long life of the Art works, preferably using good quality media.
** All artists are requested to kindly download the entry forms from our Web site www.icacart.com and fill it up in Microsoft Word format. Send it along with the images of art works, or you can send us a request mail and we will send you a blank registration form, immediately. The competition is open to Indian Nationals only.
** The process of judging the art works by the Advisory panel will be fully transparent and winners will be informed by e-mail.
** The names of the winning artists will be displayed on our Web site. All the award winning art works shall remain with the art center. 70% of the sale price of non award winning art work, will be paid to the artists, where art works are sold during the Exhibition. Each selected participating artist shall have an opportunity to exhibit their work in Mumbai.
** Each artist will receive a complimentary CD catalogue of the Exhibited art works, with images of artwork & bio data of the artist. The artist must collect their copy of the catalogue personally, from the venue during the Exhibition.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists.

ENTRY: There is a fee of Rs. 300/- per art work submitted in the Art Contest. Each participant can submit maximum TWO entries. Entries to be submitted ON LINE, initially on the Art Center’s Web Site, www.icacart.com or Photographs of 5”x7” of each image. Maximum two entries per artist.

SIZE: Minimum – 11 inches X Maximum – 48 inches of painting, drawing and graphic.

ACCEPTANCE: The Digital entries that are sent on line on the Art Center’s Web Site. Or email at info@icacart.com . Digital Images of Actual Exhibits must be 2100 pixels in .jpg extension. File names must include the Artist’s name, size, Media & code Nos.

Or Photographs of 5”x7” of each image (For Sculpture images of all four sides has to be submitted) will be accepted along with schedule, by Post/Courier till 5.00 p.m. on 15.02.2014 at :

If the art work is selected for the competition, the physical art work will be called for. All artists are requested to submit their entries, well before that date, so there is not heavy rush towards the last dates.

Once the selection from Digital Entries is done the participants will be informed by email to send the ACTUAL ART WORKS. The last date of receiving your entries is 15th February, 2014, and 15th March, 2014 for receiving your art works.

Selected Art Works will be accepted strictly at the participant’s own risk and expenses. Art Center will not be liable for any damages or loss of Art works, though Art Center takes at most care of Art Works.

Art Work, which has not already been exhibited in a public institution in India (Except prints), is only permissible. Actual Exhibit which varies substantially from the image shown is likely to be rejected.

Selected Art Works can be sent by Post or Roadways parcel or Courier services. They could be submitted personally or through representative during scheduled period and place. The paper work should not be folded and packed properly to avoid any transit damage; similarly the canvas work should be rolled only.

Art Center will have full right to refuse entry without stating any reason whatsoever.

JUDGING :
All Art works will be judged by the Art Advisory Panel constituted by the Art Center.

The decision of the Jury will be final in the matter of selection and Judging and no Communication on the subject will be entertained.

Judging committee will not assign any reason for their decisions.

RETURN OF ENTRY :
The Photographs sent are non returnable.

NO responsibility will be taken for the safe keeping of the Artworks or return. The Art Center will not be liable for the Damage of work in any case. The artworks not collected within stipulated period will be treated as Art Center’s property and Art Center will have the right to dispose off said artworks and funds thus collected will be utilized for Art Center’s welfare activities.

The Art Center reserves the right to reproduce any entry for the catalogue or for the purpose of publicity.

SALE :
The exhibit selected for the exhibition will be offered of sale unless otherwise stated in writing. All sales will be negotiated by the Art Center. The Art Center will retain 70% commission from the stated or negotiated price.
