NIMCET-2014 :
National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutes of National Importance and are Centrally Funded Technical Institutes. The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA programme. The admission to the MCA programme in to NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the year 2014-15 is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2014 only. The Curriculum and Syllabi of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme offered by NITs are designed considering the needs of different Information Technology firms in India and abroad. MCA graduates have high potential for jobs in IT Sector.
Eligibility Criteria to Appear For NIMCET-2014:
Indian Nationals securing$ at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC, ST) in
(i) BSc / BSc (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time*; OR
(ii) B E / B Tech or equivalent from a recognized University are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2014 test.
Candidates who are appearing for final year/semester of BSc / BSc(Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum 3 years or BE/BTech in the academic year 2013-14 are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2014. Such candidates shall have to furnish the proof (in the form of a certificate issued by the head of institution where the candidate has studied- refer Annexure IV for proforma) that he/she is appearing for the examinations during the academic year 2013-14 and can submit the proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NIMCET-2014 preferably at the time of Counseling/Admission but not later than 15th September, 2014, failing which their admission is liable to be cancelled by the respective NITs. NIMCET-2014 will not reserve a seat to a candidate due to any reason claimed for not fulfilling the eligibility criteria including the delay in publishing the results by the concerned University/institute.
Students who have completed/completing degree BSc / BSc(Hons)/BCA/ BIT of 3 years from Open Universities are also eligible to apply provided their programme is approved by UGC / AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India.
The percentages of marks in qualifying degree are to be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in all the subjects studied in all the years including languages, optional and additional subjects studied, if any. The aggregate of marks secured in all the subjects in all the years computed using this method of calculation alone be considered by NIMCET-2014 for deciding eligibility.
Apply Online :
1. Candidates should apply for NIMCET-2014 through ‘Online’ only
** Candidates must follow instructions strictly as given in the website nimcet2014.nita.ac.in .
** Applications not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
2. ON-LINE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS :
** Candidates should pay the processing fee (Rs.1,800/- for OPEN/OBC and Rs.900/- for SC/ST). Candidates have to pay processing fee amount through State Bank collect before filling the online application form in the nimcet2014.nita.ac.in website.
** After payment of processing fee, candidates should register on NIMCET-2014 website with login, password and then fill all the details as per the Online Form.
** After successful filling of data online and pressing submit button, a complete application form with unique application number will be generated. Candidate must quote this unique application number in future correspondences till the test is conducted.
** Candidates are required to take printout of the generated application form and send it with e-receipt of the payment and all relevant documents – “The Secretary, NIMCET-2014, National Institute of Technology Agartala, Barjala, Jirania – 799046, Tripura (W)” by Speed Post/Registered Post on or before 17th April, 2014.
** Please ensure all the supporting documents as specified in check-list are enclosed.
** Please keep two copies of the application and e-receipt for future reference.
** Candidates must remember their login, password, security questions and answers, e-mail id entered in the application till the end of NIMCET-2014 process.
** Candidates will not be allowed to create multiple user logins.
** The application forms received after the last date 17th April, 2014 (even though the application is successfully uploaded), and the applications without supporting documents or e-receipt will be summarily rejected.
** NIMCET-2014 is not responsible for any postal delays and hence candidates are advised to post the generated application form with all necessary documents and e-receipt well in advance before the last date i.e., 17-04-2014.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
a) Read carefully the instructions to fill in online application form as described in section 6.0. in this brochure.
b) They are also required to take hard copy (a print out) of the generated application form, enclose all relevant documents (Please enclose photocopy of both sides of mark sheets) and send it by speed post / registered post to the following address along with copies of mark-sheets and pass-certificates of SSC/10th class and Bachelor’s Degree along with e-receipt of processing fee (for Rs. 1,800/- for open / OBC category and Rs.900/- for SC/ST category).

Applications received after due date and time will not be considered. NIMCET-2014 is not responsible for any postal delays and hence candidates are advised to post the filled-in application with all necessary documents and payment e-Receipt well in advance before the last date i.e., 17-4-2014. Rights are reserved by NIMCET-2014 for any change in this regard.
Processing Fee through State Bank Collect :
The processing Fee for NIMCET-2014 test and counseling for admission to the MCA programme is Rs.1,800/- for OPEN/OBC category and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST category candidates. Candidates have to deposit an appropriate amount relevant to their category.
Candidates are required to deposit the NIMCET 2014 processing fee through State Bank collect only. The print out of the e-receipt of payment need to be sent along with generated application to NIMCET-2014 office.

I am appearing BSC.IT final year. Should I send all my semester certificate or only 10th & 12th certificate?

I passed tenth in 2009 ,and I gave this in details of tenth but by saving the data there it displays an error message that it is not valid. What is the solution for applying for this with 2009?
When I apply on online sbi.com , there is an option as state bank collect. I want to know registration no.
When I apply for new user registration , there is a mandatory field in which there is name, email id , user name,password etc..
When I type my email id,an invalid type of email id shows. What will I do?
Once you click submit button it will accept all the details.
