Online Counseling of ITI Session 2014-15:
STEPS to be Followed in the entire eCounseling Process:
1. To participate in the eCounseling, the candidate shall fill all his particular on the counseling website www.itipunjab.nic.in under the option New Registration.
2. After filling all the correct information, the candidate will take the printout of his filled particular. The candidate has to remember password filled during registration.
3. To correct the information (if any) , the candidate has to login by using Roll No. printed on the printout and password. For correction, the candidate will use Edit Registration Module.
4. After taking the printout, candidate shall have to visit the nearest DI for verification of his documents with the particular filled while registration. The candidate will be eligible for filing his choices only after verification of his particular by DI.
5. The registration is one time process and it will be valid for all three online counselings.
6. For filling the choices, the candidate has to login again by using Roll No. printed on the printout and password, during the period in which the choice filling is allowed.

On successful Login, the following option will be available to the candidate:
** Edit Registration: In case you have entered information by mistake, you can edit your entered information by “Edit Registration” option.
** Available Choices: You are provided with List of institutes and courses (NCVT and SCT Separately).
** Fill Choices: You can fill the institute and couses of your choice provided in the list in order of preferences.
** Display filled choices: Choices entered by the Candidate will be displayed on different form so that he/she can check the already entered information.
** Change Password: Candidate can change his/her password using this option.
** Provisional Allotment Letter: Candidate can generate allotment letter before reporting for admission to a allotted Institute.

7. The candidate has to fill his choices and save his choice within the stipulated time period as declared by DTE.
8. Allotment of seat : After the choice filling period is over, all filled choices of all registered candidates will be considered for allotment of seats as per merit (Rank) and category of the candidate. The allotment of seats is purely provisional.
9. If a seat is allotted, the candidate has to take printout of Provisional Allotment letter and visit the nearest PI/DI for accepting the admission.
10. If no seat is allotted, then candidate has to participate in the next counseling by filling his choices again.
11. If a candidate has allotted a seat, to get a better choice of course or institute, the candidate can participate in the 2nd or 3rd online Counseling.
12. The Detailed Instruction about the online counseling shall be available on the website

Important Points :
** There will be a total of three rounds of counseling.
** The reservation policy for 1st and 2nd Counseling shall be as per Punjab Govt. notifications.
** There will be no reservation in 3rd Counseling and it will be totally rank based counseling open to all the candidates of Punjab as well as candidates from other states.

6. The candidate has to fill his choices and save his choice within the stipulated time period as declared by Directorate.
7. If a seat is allotted, the candidate has to take printout of Provisional Allotment letter and visit the nearest P.I./D.I. for accepting the admission.
8. If no seat is allotted, then candidate has to participate in the next counseling by filling his choices again.

GUIDELINES FOR FILLING THE CHOICES BY THE CANDIDATES :
1. Candidates are advised to fill as many choices as desired from the available list of choices. The list of Choices of courses will be available to candidate as per his highest qualification and as per his eligibility. (For example , If the candidate is failed in science or mathematics, those courses for which science and mathematics is compulsory will not be available to the candidate).

The list of Choices of courses will be available separately for NCVT and SCVT Courses. Choices can be filled after the confirmation of Registration Details only.

There are two boxes available at the “Fill Choices” option:-
Left box indicates the total available choices as per the candidate’s Eligibility
Right box indicates the choices filled by the Candidate.
Available choices can be sorted course wise & Institution wise any time during the choice filling.
System has facility to add Single Choice at a time.
Single choice can be filled by first selecting choice from Left Box and then pressing the <ADD> button available in the Left box. The choice will be added to Right Box after pressing the <ADD> button.

System has facility to move the choices by selecting the <Move Choice> option from the combo box available under Label Edit your filled choices.
System has facility to Swap Choice by selecting the <Swap Choice> option from the combo box available under Label Edit your filled choices.
After completing the choice filling, it is very important to save the choices. If not saved all the filled choices will be deleted.

Candidate can adopt any of following approach for saving the choices:
a) Press <Save Choices> button. The choices filled by the candidate will be saved and candidate is allowed to add more choices.
b) Press < Save & Exit> button. The choices filled by the candidate will be saved and system will exit from the choice filling option.

Rules and Regulations:
i. Each student may enjoy the full benefits of the facilities placed at his disposal but he has to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute also. These rules are solely designed to safeguard the welfare of students and are liable to change/modify without any prior notice from time to time. The students are advised to keep themselves informed and aware about the day to day instructions and updations in the Institute. A plea of ignorance of any rules cannot be accepted as an excuse of breaking it. Students are expected to maintain the decorum and to pay the due respect to all faculty members. Every staff member has authority to point out the indiscipline created by the trainees even of other trades also.
ii. Loud talking, loitering or congregating in the corridor, being a source of destruction is not permitted.
iii. Late arrival and early departures from the class are recorded as absence from the class.
iv. The trainees are advised to work in the workshop as per the instructions of the trade In-charges.
v. No student has any authority over the employees of the Institution.
vi. Tool and other machinery must be left in good order after use. If damaged, the fact of the same must be immediately reported for necessary action.
vii. No responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage to trainee’s property.
viii. The studies at the Institute require attention and diligence on the part of trainees. A trainee neglecting his studies and showing unsatisfactory progress will be given two warnings after which if he/she fails to improve, he/she will be liable for expulsion from the Institution.
ix. Trainees shall observe all safety precautions. The institution is not responsible or accidents of whatever natures in the Institute, Hostel, Workshop and Playground.
x. Trainees are not allowed to take part in the ragging Politics or go to Press, if any student found violating the rules, he will be expelled from the Institute.
xi. Vehicles and their accessories brought by the trainees in the Institute campus will be at their own risk and responsibility. Institute will not be responsible for any theft or loss.
xii. The trainees must inform their change of address, otherwise the institute will not be responsible in any event arising thereof.
