Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Minority Students :
Ministry of Minority affairs has introduced the following four centrally sponsored scholarship schemes for the students of Minority communities notified by government of India :
1. Pre-Matric Scholarship
2. Post Matric Scholarship
3. Merit-cum Means Scholarship
1. Pre. Matric Scholarship :-
Eligibility Criteria :
Students Pursuing education from class I to Class X from Govt. / Recognised / Private School / Institutes are eligible.
Rate of Scholarship :-
1. Item : Admission fee from class VI to X
Hostellers : Rs. 500/- p.a. subject to actuals
Day Scholar : Rs. 500/- p.a. subject to actuals.
2. Item : Tuition fee from class VI to X
Hostellers : Rs. 350/- p.m. subject to actuals.
Day Scholar : Rs. 350/- p.m. subject to actuals.
3. Item : Maintenance allowance will be payable for a period not exceeding 10 months in an academic year.
(i) Class I to V
(ii) Class VI to X
Hostellers : Nil (Rs. 600/- p.m. subject to actuals)
Day Scholar : Rs. 100/- p.m., Rs. 100 p.m.
2. Post Matric Scholarship :-
Eligibility Criteria :
Students who pursue higher education technical and vocational courses of Industrial Training Institutes from clans XI upto Ph.D., Industrial Training centers ( affiliated with NCVT) of Class XI and XII level are eligible.
1) Item : Admission and tuition fee for classes XI and XII
Hostellers : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 7,000 p.a.
Day Scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 7,000 p.a.
2) Item : Admission and course/tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of XI and XII level. (Includes fees/charges for raw materials, etc.)
Hostellers : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 10,000 p.a.
Day Scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 10,000 p.a
3) Item : Admission and tuition fee for under graduate, post graduate
Hostellers : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 3,000 p.a.
Day Scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 3,000 p.a.
3. Merit – Cum- Means Based Scholarship : –
Eligibility Criteria :-
Students who pursue technical and professional courses at under-graduate and Post graduate levels are eligible.
Rate of Scholarship :-
Type of financial assistance : Maintenance allowance (For 10 months only)
Rate for Hostellers : Rs. 10,000/- per annum (Rs. 1000 p.m.)
Rate for Day Scholar : Rs. 5,000/- per annum (Rs. 500 p.m.)
Type of financial assistance : Course fee
Rate for Hostellers : Rs. 20,000/- per annum or actual whichever is less
Rate for Day Scholar : Rs. 20,000/- per annum or actual whichever is less.
