Procedure for Online submission of application :
The filling of online application contains two parts :
** Part I Registration
** Part II Registration

Part I Registration :
** In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.
** Candidate may press “I agree” button after declaration once he/she finds that information supplied by him/her is in order and no correction is required. Thereafter no correction/modification shall be allowed.
** When “I agree” button is pressed, a page with Registration No. will be generated. Please note down registration number or take a print out of the page. The application is incomplete without part II registration. Part II registration contains filing procedure of payment details, uploading of photograph, and scanned signature.
** Candidates who can pay application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank challan.
** To pay fee in cash, candidate should take printout of challan generated online after completion of part I registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continue with Part II registration.

Part II Registration :
** Those who want to pay online through net banking can go directly to part II registration after completion of part I. Candidate will have to supply registration number and date of birth to continue to Part II registration.
** Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 4 to 6.
** Then upload a recently taken scanned photograph in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 12 kb and greater than 4 kb and resolution 100 pixel widths by 120 pixels height.
** Then upload your scanned signature in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less that 12 kb and greater than 1 kb and resolution 140 pixel widths by 60 pixels height.
** An email will be sent to your email id informing you that the application has been successfully registered. Registration No, email confirming registration and proof of payment of application fee should be retained by you.
** Regional offices of the commission have been advised to place details of application numbers, Roll numbers and ticket number of candidates at least one week before the date of the examination. They will also provide the facility of downloading of Admission Certificate (Hall Ticket) from their website. If you do not receive the Admission Certificate within a month of the Examination and are unable to download the Admission Certificate from the Regional website concerned, you must contact the Regional office concerned.
** Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The Staff Selection Commission will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form.

Special Instructions to Candidates :
1. Please read these instructions & also the detailed instructions appearing in the Notice of Examination in the Employment News/Rojgar Samachar,CAREFULLY before you proceed to fill up the Application Form.
2. Please ensure that the Application Form filled up by you is identical to the format as well as of the same size of paper as prescribed, or the one appearing in the Notice of Examination in the Employment News, except when the Application Form is supplied by the Commission to the Candidate concerned directly (as in the case of Main Examinations).
3. Please ensure that the paper on which your Application Form is printed/Photo-copied is white in color & of A-4 (21 x 29.7 cms) size &good quality to ensure that it withstands the rigours of Data Processing& subsequent handling by the Commission, except when the Application Form is supplied by the Commission (as in the case of Main Examinations).
4. Please read the conditions of eligibility appearing in the Notice of Examination in the Employment News to ensure that you fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear in the examination, namely age,educational qualifications, physical standards etc. as on the CRUCIAL DATE.
5. The application Form may be filled up either in English or in Hindi, as you choose, while taking care that the entries are either all in English or all in Hindi, except as otherwise directed. The numerals should be in international form of Indian numbers i.e. 1,2,3,4,5, & so on.
6. Please fill up the Application Form with a ballpoint or ink pen (using black/ blue ink) in good handwriting to facilitate error-free data processing by the Commission. Any alterations must be carried out by neatly scoring the inappropriate entry & writing the appropriate entry on the side/nearby while attesting such alterations. Please do not over-write/apply fluid/paste any paper over any inappropriate or incorrect entry. All the entries on the Form should be legible.
7. Please do not write more than one alphabet/numeral in one box wherever such boxes are provided.
8. Please put your signatures at the places mentioned, in identical fashion so as to avoid any suspicion of impersonation. Please do not put signatures in Block or Capital letters in English.
9. Ordinarily any change in centre of examination is not permissible. Hence choose your centre of examination carefully.
10. One envelope should contain one Application Form only. More than one application in one Envelope would lead to rejection of all such applications. Similarly, more than one application from the same Candidate for the same examination also leads to rejection of all such applications.

Instructions to Candidates : (Application Related)
1. The envelope containing the Application Form should be of good quality & superscribed in bold letters.
2. Please note that the Envelopes (containing the Application Forms) are initially sorted on the basis of Centres superscribed on them & further processing is done by the Data processors up to a certain stage. Hence if you do not mention the Centre clearly on your cover, the Commission may not be in a position to allot the Centre of your choice to you even though you might have mentioned the desired Centre on the Application Form.
3. The Commission will not be responsible for any postal delay or deficiencies. Please ensure that your Application Form reaches the Commission clearly before the closing date and time. You have an option to submit your Application Form in person or by Speed post, or by Registered Post or by UPC (under certificate of posting) or by Ordinary Post. It is clarified that unless your Application Form reaches the Commission by the last date (closing date and time), you stand to lose your candidature. Hence in your own interest please choose a mode of transmission which in your judgement is the most effective & reliable.

Invalid Applications :
Your Application Form is liable to be rejected in the following situations :
1. Applications not submitted in prescribed format as per the Notice published in the Employment New (Rojgar Samachar).
2. Incomplete or illegible applications.
3. Unsigned/undated applications.
4. Without good quality standard passport size (5 cm x 7 cm) photograph.
5. Affixing/attaching Xerox copy of Photograph.
6. Without signatures in box below the Photo and/or on Application form, and on various Declarations.
7. Signatures made in Block/Capital letters in English.
8. Particulars of Exam Fees Paid not filled in relevant column of Application/ without CRFS of requisite value and validity; Non-payment of Fee at all wherever applicable.
9. Non-cancellation of CRFS properly by the concerned Post Office.
10. Applications not filled in English or Hindi or not filled by candidate in his/her own handwriting
11. Without proper certificates, in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates and/or Exservicemen. For relaxation sought in age or physical standards or any relaxation sought for as a Government employee or Departmental Candidate, Certificate should be obtained from the competent authority in the prescribed format.
12. Without Declaration by OBC candidate in the format as given in Annexure (of the Application Form) by the Candidate.
13. Under aged/over aged candidates.
14. Not having the requisite Educational Qualifications as on the specified/prescribed date.
15. Photocopies of the relevant certificates not attested.
16. More than one application for the same post/group of posts by the same candidate or sent in one envelope.
17. Applications of more than one candidate sent in one envelope.
18. Incorrect information or misrepresentation or suppression of material facts.
19. Without signatures on “Declaration by all Candidates”.
20. Any other irregularity.

General Instructions (examination related) :
1. Candidates must write the papers in their own hand. In no circumstances, will they be allowed the help of a scribe to write the answers for them.
2. In the Question Papers, wherever necessary, for questions involving numerals, these would be international form of Indian numbers. Similarly, Metric system of weights and measures only shall be used.
3. Candidates are not permitted to use any electronic/mechanical device like calculators etc. in any of the Examination. They should not, therefore, bring such articles inside the Examination Hall.
4. Marks are not allotted for mere superficial knowledge. Credit is given for orderly, effective and exact expression combined with due economy of words in subjects of examination involving conventional type answers.

  1. I applied fr ssc exam but I am not getting challan so what shall I do. I got registration number. Please help me.

  2. I have submitted online application form for CGL-2014 but my community choice is wrong my community is OBC not general. Please change my community general to OBC.

    My DATE OF BIRTH is 06/08/1988

    1. I do not think you will be able to edit the application form after you submit it.
