SYLLABUS OF ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR OF EXCISE RECRUITMENT, 2013
Written Examination :
** There will be a written test on General Studies to be conducted on 6th April, 2014 (Sunday).
** There will be 150 Multiple Type Questions, each carrying 1 mark.
** There will be negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
** Duration of the examination will be of 2 hours.
** General standard of questions will be of Madhyamik / Higher Secondary level or equivalent.

SCHEME OF ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR OF EXCISE RECRUITMENT, 2013
Recruitment will be made on the basis of Written Test followed by Physical Measurement and Interview to be conducted by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test will be called for Physical Measurement Test and Interview to be held on the same day. Only those candidates qualified in the Physical Measurement Test will be allowed to appear in the Interview.

Written Test :
West Bengal Staff Selection Commission will hold a written test tentatively on 6th April, 2014 (Sunday).
Full Marks : 150.
Type of Test : Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Time allotted : 2 hours.

Physical Measurement Test and Interview :
Date and time of Physical Measurement and Interview will be notified in due course.
Interview : Full Marks : 10

Final Selection shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in Written Test and Interview (i.e. out of Full marks of 160).
