TAMIL NADU COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (TANCET) 2014 FOR M.B.A., M.C.A. & M.E. I M.Tech. / M.Arch. /M.Plan. DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applications are invited for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2014 to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu from candidates who seek admission to 1. M.B.A., 2. M.C.A. and 3. M.E. I M.Tech I M.Arch. I M.Plan. Degree Programmes for the year 2014 — 2015 offered at University Departments, University Colleges of Engineering, Regional Centres of Anna University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Arts & Science Colleges and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamilnadu. Some Universities and Self- Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in TANCET 2014.
Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be fixed by the admitting authority / University.

Application form is common for all the three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application.
ENTRANCE TEST FEE :
For candidates who register in person, cash or a demand draft for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) drawn in favour of “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University Chennai ” payable at Chennai, obtained from any Nationalised Bank drawn on or after 01.02.2014, should be submitted along with the filled-in application, towards the entrance test fee for any one of the programmes M.B.A. (or) M.C.A. (or) M.E/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.
REGISTRATION FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST (TANCET) 2014 :
(1) REGISTRATION IN PERSON: Hall Tickets will be issued to the candidates who come in person to the following Co-ordinating Centres with a copy of 10th Std. mark sheet and 12th Std. mark sheet ( or 3 years Diploma Certificate) and cash or Demand Draft *(A single Demand Draft is sufficient for one or more programme) for the required amount towards entrance test fee.

Arts College for Women, Thanjavur, 11. Govt. College of Engg., Tirunelveli, 12. Anna University Regional Centre, Tiruchirappalli, 13. Thanthai Periyar Govt. Institute of Tech., Vellore, 14.University College of Engg., Villupuram, 15. Kamaraj College of Engg., Virudhunagar.
(2) REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNET: The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to annauniv.edu/tancet 2014. The filled-in downloaded application along with the required demand draft* and photocopies of certificates should be sent so as to reach The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai — 600 025 on or before 20.02.2014, by 5.30 p.m. The hall tickets will be sent by post. The applications received after the due date and time will not be considered at any cost.
*Drawn in favour of ‘ The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai’ payable at Chennai, obtained from any Nationalised bank on or after 01.02.2014.

What is the tancet cutoff for M.E (bc) in annamalai university? Thanks in advance

Eligibility for MCA:
A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at least 50 %
(45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

(b) 10+3 years diploma + 3 years Pattern
(or)
(c) (i) 10+2+AMIE*
(or)
(ii) 10+3 Years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*

I HAVE MY SAIL ENTRANCE EXAM AS WELL AS TANCET EXAM ON THE SAME DATE. HOW CAN I WRITE BOTH?
Generally, one of the exams (your SAIL entrance exam in this case) might be postponed, but there is no guarantee.
Be prepared for the worst.
Assume that the exam will not be postponed and choose what you want to attend as a priority.
If one exam gets postponed, it is a bonus.
